- Welcome to a very special Fuchsia Briefs broadcast. In this video I address the news about the future of Gwent, and finish with a game of my beloved Casino Lippy.
The idea is simple. Create and seize as many great gold cards as possible, while playing as few bronzes. Shuffle them back for later, and have yourself a grand old time. And the best part is that no two games are the same! Much gold, many satisfaction.

The future of Gwent is foggy, but let me tell you this, mate: this channel always was my favorite. Hey there Chief…you know, about 3 years ago I had a spine injury and an emergency operation…it may seem funny to you…but while recovering I was playing gwent (old time gwent) a lot and was joyfully watching your Content…it was such a fresh breeze, relief and anchor watching you talking funny shit about gwent…I know times have changed and god knows gwent has changed…but every once and a while I come back to your chanel to take some refuge from the dark times out there…thanks for your videos and maybe…if the omens are good…we see you back Briefs…I am really looking forward to this day! Hey man, please don't give up on Gwent yet, I think there is a lot of good things and good community still around the game, and if they give us opportunity to balance the game ourselves, it might stil give us a years of quality time and gaming. This is such a tremendous game, nothing on the market comes even close to it, we should cherrish it and make it live as long as possible. This is not a time to give up. YOu have been such an valuable asset to community with your videos, and your humor (I specially love when you say "Lets go to pesky business", and my wife who lived in England for 20 years (we live now in Croatia) can not determine your accent, so yes, please, tell us where are you from. I believe you are one of the most gifted deck builders out there who think outside the box. I'm not a casual Gwent player, I tend to hop on every once in a long while and play my heart out for a couple of weeks or so. I feel bad that the game is going, there are no other card games quite like it. What I like about Gwent is that it is more mature compared to other card games. Marvel, Hearthstone etc feel a bit childish and doesn't scratch that itch for me.
Anyways thanks for all you've done and the smiles you have brought to my face over your Gwent journey and I will continue to support you in whatever future endeavors you dip your feet into.

Hello Briefs, I don't regret a single second beeing with you on this gwent journey. Even if the gwent slowly dies and no-one will play it anymore and you won't find a game, which you would enjoy, as a gwent, you could just still make a "rant" video once in a while about you, what you are up to and how you've been and I will gladly watch it every time. In the end, this channel isn't really about a gwent, it's about you, beeing an awsome and kind guy and we care about you, gwent is on the second place my friend. :) Thanks for taking your time with your videos and hopefully see you soon again! We are here for more than the game, the personality behind what were watching counts for more, so upload videos on whatever games you like, I'd carry on watching, maybe even a play through of something you're playing on PlayStation, obviously some games you want for your own comfort off camera but anything you feel like recording, I imagine we'd all be happy to watch, there's no need to go to another card game because most the others are pants

I feel the same as you, still play Gwent but not as much as before and in part is because of how complicated it is compared to years ago, instead of 2 sentences cards now have whole paragraphs just explaining how they work lol

Legend of Runeterra is probably the best multiplayer cardgame other than Gwent right now, with a lot of deckbuilding possibilities. You could try a singleplayer cardgame like Erannorth Chronicles. Roguelike cardgames like Slay the Spire are great, and quite moddable which adds a lot of replayability. It all depends on what you want to play, and what you want to have on the channel. I could honestly listen to you talk over anything and love it so make sure you enjoy whatever you choose to do over everything else.
I hereby swear an oath to exclusively play Casino Lippy for the foreseeable future. It has been an honor and a pleasure to experience your perspective on the game, Mr. Briefs. Thank you dearly and all the best for your coming adventures in a world of ruins.

I know exactly what you mean - Gwent has indeed become a bit of an "autopilot" game. There are so many - in my opinion - overpowered combinations out there. Sometimes you know exactly what is coming but if you don't have the right cards in your deck, then there is nothing you can do. So you often know it before the match even starts if you are going to win it or not. That's why I also loved the old arena that match. I would also like to see you other games because you are a very entertaining person + I could also learn many different things from you. Greetings from Germany to Australia!

Well I just went 7 - 3 with this deck, it's surprisingly strong. I think switching Troll Porter to Xavier makes sense. Allows you to clear up your own graveyard or mess with the opponents'. I also found Troll Porter was a hindrance in most the games rather than a help

I completely agree with your statement about the game getting too complicated. Add to that the fact that the opposition decks were getting too same-y. But still....'twas a very sad day, indeed, when the news came out. I HOPE that at least some of the current teams out there are willing to be community leaders for the upcoming so-called Gwentfinity project, but this seems increasingly unlikely since, after all, most teams are comprised of pro-level players who want to make income out of content creation.
NO other card game looks anything remotely interesting to me. Not MtG, not Hearthstone, and certainly not Marvel Snap. Nothing comes close to Gwent in the artwork and (thank goodness) the lack of the "mana" system that just never seemed interesting to me. I've played since the April before Homecoming came out, and this is like losing a friend I've had for years.

Do you already know that there is a fan made version of the old beta gwent out there? All the old cards/rules (for example three rows) are playable again.
I quit the game for good last season, because I’m tired of how unbalanced it is. I would have considered coming back if they really made some positive changes to the game, but I guess that may not happen given the news. Regardless, you can always count on me as a viewer! Love your content
I understand your disdain for marvel IPs, believe me the over saturation made me not want anything to do with snap as well. But trust me, once you actually play it you’ll get a huge amount of what you’ve been missing in gwent, variety. I would love it if you made videos about it, but purely for entertainment value on a personal level, I’d be happy if you played it just to have something fun to do. Whatever you decide to play I’m more than an happy to stick around regardless, upward and onward you beautiful fella :)

Storybook Brawl is another great tcg (auto-battler)
Normally I hate auto-battlers but this one is actually good
Sunk about 300 hours into it before getting board of it
I think you could also enjoy hearthstone if you played it like wowhobbs does
He just plays wild and plays decks that inherently make the game have more variance
Legends of Runeterra is fine I wouldnt really recommend it

It's a really fun auto-battler with a high "Lippy"-rating but most certainly also requires a lot of Godgiven skill! I think it's a hell of a fun game, don't you?? ;-)

I'm fully aware of the possibilities of the future and I'm not some optimistic fool. CDPR have seriously let the side down as they have on many occasions. They're literally riding the coat tail of Witcher 3 and even then they're not riding it properly. With the Netflix show and the remastered games they could have launched Gwent to amazing levels. They just don't care and we need to accept that. CP2077 is a prime example. They've shown some clueless times. If they hand control to us then the game can do well. Hearts is doing well. There are plenty of games that do well and aren't as nice as Gwent. It's up to the community now. Even their events were small. Few thousand bucks as a prize for such a beautiful game is laughable. They marketed it terribly bad and they've been half assed about the whole game. The community have the power to raise or drop the game. That's a fact. It's up to us now. I for one don't need new cards every 3 months to enjoy Gwent. There are more than enough cards not used. Community events, charity tournaments etc plugged well by the influencers and supported properly can do wonders especially with legends like you, KG, Q, Dosens, Spyro will impact the game. It's not dead if we don't allow it to die. ✌️
