The RR Trent-97 XWB is made for powerful but fuel efficient operations with a great roar ...but the GE90 is for the extra boost of thrust and has a very beautiful spool up sound I like both engines soo much!
Daaaang, the Trent really impressed me. Just when i thought it reached takeoff setting, it went VROOOM and even higher. GE90 takes the cake for the best startup sound tho!!!
But the Trent XWB is not as powerfull like a GE90 and the shrill voice of the GE90 is very unique in character compared to the Trent XWB which at first glance sounds like the PW4000 .

GE90 has a unique sound character and very powerfull, although not as efficient as the Trent XWB-97, but it must be admitted that the GE90 is superior in terms of power and its sound is very unique in character 🔥
Both are pretty cool but prefer the Trent's rollback sound. GE engine is so powerful and has that whine which is neat. My favorite was the RR engines in the L-1011 my first plane ride in 1977
@@logansaviationadventures You mean that its unAmerican to like a foreign made engine in preference to an American one? I don't think that was common currency, when the RR Merlin powered the Mustang to the top rank of American fighters in WW2, instead of it being just a modest improvement on a P-40 with its original Allison engine😀...........
that was quite a high power takeoff on the a350, as the engines normally only spool up to where they have that roar, while these went past the roar phase, please correct me if im wrong

I looked at a house next to an air force base. As the realtor was showing me the back yard 4 F15's took off in pairs with what sounded like full augmentation. The realtor had to stop talking while they took off. After they were gone she was just about to begin speaking again when four F16's roared over also in full burn. This was followed shortly by a pair of BONE's and what I am guessing was a tanker (3 engine, MD11/KC forgot what it was called.) The realtor thought she had lost the sale due to the jets. Honestly that was the only good point the house had was a free airshow. The answer to which of these engines sounds better I am going to say YES.
RR’s sound is just UNBEATABLE, they sound like a V8, beautiful. GE’s are big and powerful but they sound like my computer overheating haha, the only engine that matches the RR is the PW4000. :)

When the fuel ignites in the engine, creating a vibration sound in the cabin which you hear
