    Great video Jeff. I love the specific nature of the information given which helps us understand how precise we need to be around our execution. It is also comforting to hear some of the execution practices we may us are broadly consistent with yours but require some minor adjustments. The clarity in the way you presented this information makes this one of your best. Cheers 😊

    Excellent video with deep insights! In your final example concerning the wedge formation prior to initiating the breakout trade, you specified a 15-20 minute build-up for that particular strategy. Is there a time-based ratio that generally applies to these kinds of wedge breakout plays? For instance, should one expect at least an hour of run-up before the 15-20 minute wedge forms, essentially adhering to a 5:1 Wedge Build-Up Ratio Rule?

    Thank you for the awesome information @SMB Capital. In the video you are mentioning multiple exit strategies (Extension, 2 min, volume momentum, EMA). I was wondering how do you decide between those? Is it based on the setup you are taking or discretionary on the price action?

    • @JeroTrades
      @JeroTrades 7 місяців тому

      These are all variables you use to set up your playbook and rules. Start from s level, wait for a move, follow a trend, exit when it's over. Translates in this case to a short bias, entry price (5.8) and SL above high (6.1), idea of Target (5), follow 9ema (always as trend indicator in 1-5m chart moves), choose between exit strategy (close of 2 candles ago, close above 9ema, reach a 2:1 RVR. Your question lacks substance. I answered because I wanted to assimilate the content and practice. Hope it helps.

    Hi Jeff, a question about the wedge trade long in the video: what made you decide to continue to hold after the first big red candle and exit after the second? I am trying to understand the rationale for not exiting with the first red candle already. Thanks for your response :o)

  • @jasonbartlett7689
    @jasonbartlett7689 7 місяців тому

    Great video! Couple of questions:
    1. Why did you set your stop at $6.02 on the first example?
    2. On the wedge, how would you have not stopped out on the red candle around 11:58? It seems like that would have been a stop out. Maybe a better way to ask is, why did you target $6.10-20 as exit instead of using an exiting method similar to the previous 2 examples?
    Thanks for the content! Keep 'em coming

    • @JeroTrades
      @JeroTrades 7 місяців тому +1

      1.If price went above, it would indicate strength. Round numbers are magnets to large traders too. 2.I believe you mean 15:54 red candle. Good point. I would have stopped out too. Can't tell you why he goes for 6.10-6.20 besides hitting 2:1 ratio, simply assuming your stop is set at BE with 2 good trades in the pocket already. Volume might have been telling too...

    • @jasonbartlett7689
      @jasonbartlett7689 7 місяців тому +1

      Thanks! Yeah, 15:54 on the video. The candle was at 11:58am on the chart.
      Yes, the advice on 1. make sense. I appreciate the reply.

    What is more helpful is have to decide on a style. Where is the stop going if it’s super tight have to take profits fairly quick. Smaller positions require more room allows adding if correct. It’s hard to watch a style you have no business attempting

    • @thrls
      @thrls 8 місяців тому

      pretty sure what he's talking about is that if you were using 2 minute candles that would look like a breakout but it would retrace fully before the candle is closed, i.e. repainting
      in the example he's using 1 minute candles
      at least that's what that means in the context of tradingview

    1 minute chart doesnt give you any information about PA or volume, just noise. And its easy to show trade in market replay because you can find best possible situation. Live replay of trade is better.

      As a 1min (and 15sec) chart user myself I couldn't disagree with you more. The 2nd trade long off $5 Jeff took is a brilliant example the power of a 1min chart and the volume spike on the candle he initiated that trade was the most critical piece of information in it. That's the beauty of trading; 1min, 5min, 30min etc etc, that all can work

    • @corytims9667
      @corytims9667 8 місяців тому +3

      1 minute chart is a much greater time frame to find a exact entry point. Only great traders use all time frames to make their trades, keep going champ maybe you’ll make some profit one day!😊
