This was in 1999. The moral rot in society and in churches was pretty bad. It's 100 × worse today! Churches have become therapeutic centers. Repentance has been completely removed from the sinner's prayer. Lately I've been watching more videos like this, because I've been on a quest to get my heart and life back on track with God.

I remember watching this at 11 yrs old and it hitting me in my soul. I knew something was going to be happening and sure enough, everyday a shooting takes place to the point that we just shake our heads and go on like it's another day. This is the Rod Parsley and his church that I remembe. Not light shows with pop Christian music concerts before the message with a black out, darkened sanctuary that you cannot see the move of God as well as your fellow brother and sister in christ being blessed or seeing then struggle so you go over there and minister them. Not giant screens with some sort of screen saver playing on it so you can have a visual while your focus is on it and not the pastor. The church shouldn't want all the bells and whistles just to show up for God. God is about that holy ghost fire not entertainment. If you have to pacify your congregation then you have the wrong people up in there. I'll go back and watch these because this is the message that the world needs to hear today and it is still anointed as it was then but as for the pastor today, he's a little hard to watch and listen to.
