This thing is so awesome. Just got the dragons lair premium edition and downloaded space ace and dragons lair 2. Why wait for the 1up release when, for a higher price point, I get an awesome and better build and the ability to download more games? Just got it today and I love it. It’s beautiful to look at, perfect height and brings me the nostalgia from when I was 10’years old, seeing dirk the daring for the first time. Thank you iircade❤️

And it is very exciting.
Checked out the games list. I'm not very impressed but there is some good titles. I'd like to see them team up with someone like Nintendo, Sega, Capcom or Namco.

Does the control area have protective plexi on it to stop the paint from being rubbed off?
Yes, the control base has plexiglass over the top of it there is no way for the "paint" to rub off. Plus it's all laminate stickers anyhow.

I bought this system via Touch of Modern and am in the middle of assembly (which is pretty straightforward). I'm 66 and bought it so my kids and grandkids could have some fun. What I don't understand, looking through the available games, is why don't I see anything like Super Mario, or Pac-Man or Donkey Kong or Tetris?
Hi, games on the iiRcade are licensed, meaning the company must first acquire the licenses from rights holders to be able to add the games to the machine. With some of the bigger titles that can be challenging for a number of reasons. From my understanding iiRcade is working on acquiring licenses for bigger titles as well. As for the games you mentioned, Nintendo won't be giving the rights away for any of that stuff. Pacman and Tetris are Namco I believe and something like that is possible but I wouldn't hold my breath.
@@cgstech5657 Tetris is owned by the Tetris Company. So that license might be a little easier to acquire.
I just saw the pic on their website of a guy that is nearly a foot taller than the machine playing with his neck bent. I doubt he is 7 feet tall, even though the website states the machine is 6' 1" on the stand. Something is wrong. Can anyone confirm the 6'1" height?
The website doesn't say 6 feet 1 inch tall, it says that it is 61 inches tall which is 5 feet 1 inch. The guy that did this review is 6'2" and he found it comfortable. It's all in the review.

I think that until they allow OTG, this is not the best. Their rationalization of their business model seems shortsighted. Why not increase their install base so that more will buy games from them? People would buy from them. Especially for the effort they put in their game releases.
