Commander, I was planning on buying the same bike, but was told that the $1,000.00 valve adjustment service was required every 12,000 miles along with a $300.00 oil change every 6,000 miles. Can you tell me what the Owners Manuel states about these required services. I really the K 1600 b,,, but may have to buy the Indian Challenger if BMW requires that much in maintenance cost. Thanks for the info, and keep the videos coming.
Thank you for your encouragement. Yes, the valve adjustment will be around $1,000, but is not done until 18,000 miles. Oil changes are probably a bit less than $300, but I encourage everyone to buy a GS911 for no other reason but so that you can do your own oil changes. The 911 allows you to reset the annoying amber service alert. I love Indians, but I think the Ks are superior bikes for the money... just my personal opinion.
That's exactly a perfect upgrade for a taller person to be in a more relaxed position..may seriously consider this model now..ride safe!!
You won't be sorry it you do. These look like they were on the bike from the factory. Thanks, you stay safe as well.

Hi Commander, great video, thank you. Any issues with fuelling up the bike with the new handle bar position?
No, in fact I have a phone mounted below the bars. It's a bit snug when fueling, but the bar-back have not caused any problems.
Bar risers or bar backs? See title.
Ilium Works calls them Bar-Backs. Yes, they are bar risers.
Commander, did it help in slow maneuvering as well?
Didn't change the steering geometry at all that I could tell. Mostly just helped with the cruise position comfort.
