    Hey Adams, that fish is amaizing, also my next project will be change my sand, I like the one that you have in your tank, black & white sand, mine is white maybe is good idea to add a couples of bags of black sand

    • @adamc7918
      @adamc7918  8 років тому

      thanks efrain. sounds like a cool idea. just make sure and rinse the black sand really well first and you should be good to go

    Beautiful! I have a few and they're finicky eaters. What do you feed him? I'm having trouble getting mine to eat. My star sapphires and my starry night cichlids are super finicky and barely eat, they hate the pellets that I give them. What I'm currently giving them is cichlid gold, cichlid staple, Omega one pellets and tropical flakes for everything else in my tank but they don't eat any of it.

    • @adamc7918
      @adamc7918  7 років тому +1

      +Toua Lee thank you. I feed them northfin cichlid formula and Northfin krill gold. what size pellets do u feed? sometimes you can try smaller pellets or you can soak the pellets for a few minutes in water before feeding. a lot of fish don't like hard pellets

    • @toualee1349
      @toualee1349 7 років тому

      Adam C it's the medium sized pellets. They'll gulp it up and spit it back out. I'll have to try those out and the soaking. Thanks for the quick response man! I also love your tank set up! Watched a few other videos and I love them all!

    • @adamc7918
      @adamc7918  5 років тому +1

      They can take a while to get a lot of chips. You should start seeing the first sign of chips are 4.5 inch, sometimes sooner
