I like how the box designed however, it is very difficult for a beginner to get use to all the tools. It would be perfect if you can slow down and probably indicate what key to control on all. thank you for your video! ;)
Nice video. This is great for product mockups, but in the grander scheme of things, there are very specific rules for different packaging styles. The style you are shown creating is a tuck top with slit locks. The rules vary according to the thickness of the folding carton board ( by pointage). What you are doing will work in a jiffy for a 1 off product mock, but just make everyone aware when it comes to mass production, you will need to get a structural packaging engineer involved. I have been doing this kind of work for over 30 years. I can here to see the graphics aspect of it, as I said, very nice video. Thanks!

good tutorial, but I wish the last part where you apply color, background and logo was a bit slower. It's hard to follow that part since it's going way too fast.

I know design, but I don't know how to make it work. Let say I make the design, and then what? What should I do for these design to be printed? File type? Export settings maybe? Because when printing, the machine knows where the fold is but hoe to make it work tho? I'm so confused about the finishing part :'(
Is it possible to fold the box using 3D? Just to see if the design perfectly forms into a box ?
When shape building, It cant get all the shapes even everything is selected, some parts of the template still has lines between them
You should use the "Direct selection tool" to move the point of shape.

this tutorial not can be said perfect region that , editing tools are visible , viewers can see clearly each event picking tools but behind the key board command ? there are many tasks that have to work with key board , How viewers can understand how it been solved , so , I request you , at next you may show a bar on screen about key board commands in the shape of text , and it will be helpful for learners .

I adden an anchor point there but when I choose the reactangle it does not show up as it shows up when you did. I can't move that part of reactangle like you did. Are you using a keyboard shortcut or something over there?

how to mockup it?
While that LOOKS like a carton, it does not have proper offsets, pullbacks, or even a true locking mechanism....all based on the caliper of board. While this will get you basic panels for art layout, it will need to be adjusted before making samples or going into production.
Exactly - most structural design in the packaging and corrugated carton industry is done with a CAD cam program (such as Auto-CAD or Artios). When designing, you don't just draw the carton like this - you have to start with the inner dimensions, and work outward, accounting for folding tolerances, width of the board, etc. direction of the corrugated fluting, etc. The final structure needs to approved long before you begin designing the graphics.

This is going way to fast to learn anything from it.
If your only designing a box for a single item it is a waste of money. Unless you are ordering these in quantities over 100 your pissin in the wind - the cost to have any product packaging produced within the USA is $$$, use a basic box and slap a sticker on it , save your self time and money. Its fun to design but a waste of money to produce.
