I keep scratching my head about how I would point my thumb at my ring finger. I’m afraid I’ll still come around the ball. I don’t know what else to do:(
When he talks about making your thumb point to your ring finger he is assuming your fingers are behind your thumb and not in a suitcase type position. If you have your fingers below the ball then when you point your thumb towards your fingers, you would prevent yourself from coming around the ball. Hopefully that helps!
Great tip, Del- thanks. But would like visual demonstration to augment .
Awesome vid, really good practical tip. Most videos demonstrate some perfect modern release and say “do it like this!” which is useless.
Glad you found it helpful! Be sure to check out some of our other KTC Tips!
Is it possible to see this release live on the lanes?
Thanks for the tip.
Keep us updated with how it works for you!
Could you show this release with the hand in the ball?
Watch a professional?
So do you still cup the wrist and bend the elbow to make the yo-yo action? Also, keeping the hand behind the ball, simultaneously.
Excellent tip. I discovered this technique of getting the ball to come off the side of the hand without turning the hand itself inward years ago.
Fantastic!
Do you have a full breakdown of the release?
I was taught to be a roller so I'm trying to get my revolutions up.
after I did this and I repeated for a few days, the result came today in training 300-213-247-290-299 :)
Glad to hear. Nice bowling!
Just tried this in the front yard, lol. Was fun, now I want to try it in real practice.
How did it go in real practice?
@@KegelTrainingCenter Made a huge difference, thank you!
@@machinethesun9243 Glad to hear!
Just thought of something. Maybe that's why the "throw a spiral on a football" drill works because the thumb faces that way in that drill... wow
Good observation. Definitely one of the reasons that drill is so successful for so many people.

Too much talking, not enough demonstrating!
