One thing Avril has always done exceedingly well throughout her career are acoustic and ballad versions of her songs. They never dissapoint.
I'm 33 and I grew up listening to Avril's songs, it helped me to get through all the "teenage stuff" and I'm so glad to see genuine Avril fans here, it proves she is the music Queen for all of us who are forever young.

Same here. I’m turning 35 this year and I grew up listening to her. I was 13 when I got her first album and was immediately obsessed with her. I have a picture of me holding up her second album in my hands on my 15th birthday with the most ecstatic look on my face. That second album really pulled me through some rough days during that period. I went through different phases during each album release. Like her third album with Girlfriend came out a couple months before I turned 18 and I had barely started driving

I like this production a lot more. Even with slower tempo and less instrumentation it's more intense.

I know... I'm 35 years old and pretty open to ANY music as long as my heart vibrates for it. And I agree with you. NOBODY else can do music like her. I've heard a couple of copycats that I wont name here.. But no, she makes me feel strong emotions and her voice... Her voice has never been that sweet and strong at the same time. And it seems she masters it way better now.
She did say she herself feels like her vocals were even stronger than before after her recover from Lyme. Haha maybe its because she didnt use it that much for 2 years ? Idc, but man.. Her live performances are SO GOOD. Especially the intimate one where she sits down and focus on the singing.

@@cd4536 There is a small amount of pitch correction occurring same as in nearly every major pop artist of the past 20 years cause that's just the "glossy," "perfect" production sound desired the past couple decades but Avril's voice is incredible and she barely needs any pitch correction to sound this good
