Gucci was the reason why irespect talib and went back to listen his music .that song your verse was HARD AF " BOOM BOOM AT THE NIGHT""" POLTERGEIST. This before this interview
Talib Kweli is an excellent interviewer! He does his research on the guests and asks thoughtful and insightful questions. On top of that Talib provides the perfect amount of anecdotal commentary to share more from his unique perspective as an artist an interviewer. Jasmine’s levity does not go unnoticed. Solid podcast with two dope hosts!
When I first heard a Zaytoven production. And heard that organ in it, I knew he's was a product of the Black church. He definitely changed the game with that sound.
As a NY and LA hip hop fan, I admit that I dismissed the music of the south at first. Then Outkast albums, Lil Wayne mixtapes, and Kweli's Country Cousins collab Bun B were the things that with connected me.
I just can't get over how good this podcast is....and how good it is to hear Talib now, from the Okayplayer 2000 tour when I was 15 seeing him on stage for the first time. I can't get over the growth. The last 2 episodes Kweli has really gotten into a groove with the conversations and the questions and its so natural. Jasmine is really shining as well and I definitely see improvement from the beginning of the podcast from both of them. This podcast is everything I didn't know I needed.
I learn something about each and every guest, or about the industry because of listening to these interviews. Talib does his homework and uncovers interesting and dope facts about each person; very professional and thorough. I look forward to each and every interview, even the people who I don't know or have no interested in.
Love this, i read Zay book dude has had a great career so far... give me some inspiration... i also recieved a prophecy about my music and its scary and u just dont know how but its like trust and GO
The first ever producer camp was in ATL with Zaytoven and Humble G at patchwerk studios, boy was it lit in there. Shot out to Zaytoven for doing those camps for people who still wanna produce and create
There's even doper than Lacrae for christian rap, Lavoisier, his "Next Big Thing 2.0" and Rap Terrorist Mixtapes were classics and hard while still retaining his morals
Talib you should checkout Andy Mineo. He is a christian rapper and he's on the same level as Lecrae and actually on his record label. His older projects aren't that great or as refined, but his more recent projects are very polished.
Atlanta is not a 2nd New York. Atlanta is Atlanta folk it ain’t nothing like New York. We got our own style so stop saying it’s a little New York. Atlanta is Atlantis and we run this shid
Say Talib, Zaytoven and yourself should look up Dee-1. He's another Faith based rapper that's extremely dope and been in the game for a minute. Side note: still waiting to hear back about my New Orleans Tricentennial Activity Book getting on the Kweli Club website
If Zay or Talib think Lecrae is best of "CHH" then they are lost. Crae is dope but its so many artists that are better than Lecrae...lyrically. I.e. Eshon Burgundy. Look him up
@TALIB KWELI AND ZAYTOVEN...WHAT ABOUT ZION I a.k.a ZUMBI???!!! HE NEVER WORKED WITH HIM THO. LINK UP!!! AND I GOT FAMILIAR WITH ZAY LISTENING TO GUCCI AND SCOOTER!
Heeeeey!!!! Why has the black culture so complaced? The 40's weren't the same as the 60's nor the 70's or the 80's but thugs and gangsta have been the same for 3 straight decades, flat tops even came back out. Can you do everything from a clean cut, rappers have made a billion look? No sag, no excessive swaggarting, clean successful look?

Facts
Props to Talib for this quote: "your parents raised you better than they knew they did". Well stated, and what a wonderful compliment.
He always has gems to drop

if everybody in the music industry were as honest as zaytoven ,,the world would be in a better place #humaneffect #humanedge
Zaytoven is “walking by faith” personified. He never sells himself or has to defend any move that he’s made. Never offended. Even keeled.
One of my favorite producers. A legend in the game. 💯
Atlanta is his home....Greatest producer ever ATLZAY
As a NY and LA hip hop fan, I admit that I dismissed the music of the south at first. Then Outkast albums, Lil Wayne mixtapes, and Kweli's Country Cousins collab Bun B were the things that with connected me.
I remember when Zay brought the So Icy song to the barber shop at Stonecrest mall 2004. He is a great barber
Another good interview

I think I’m speaking for most Hip Hop purists, but we need that MADLIB INTERVIEW. Cmon now ..
There's even doper than Lacrae for christian rap, Lavoisier, his "Next Big Thing 2.0" and Rap Terrorist Mixtapes were classics and hard while still retaining his morals
Is there a possibility that RA is gonna be a guest on your show? Love the videos! Greets from Vienna and all the best!!!
"Your parents raised you better than they knew they did." Now that was deep.
It's amazing that some people will wear hats their entire career. Talib Kweli's head must be f****d up.
Allwayz a pleasure, Peace and prosperity
