For cleaning routine, I would suggest, 1) pop out the top dial and blade. 2) unscrew the front cup tray. 3) unscrew the 2 top screws under the black stickers. 4) take out the front screen cover. 5) disconnect the 3 wiring to the screen (optional but better to) and remove the front screen cover. 6) unscrew the black hose and remove it. 7) clean the black solid hose. Also put a kitchen paper to cover the newly open area which shows the motor. 8) gentle spin the bottom blade with hand. As this is separate into 3 rooms, use a brush to clean from the front opening. (The opening is locate behind the screen, so you must dismantle the front panel.) 9) assemble back everything. The machine is well build and heavy, after a few times of cleaning, i found this can effectively clear the leftover. Didnt remove the bottom blade as this can be tough and need more tools to unlock it.
From your review, the grind retention seems low. But I’ve seen others say it’s like 4+ grams of retention. Thinking about getting the all ground sense or the Eureka w 65.
I think the quality of bean seems to be a large factor into how much retention ANY grinder will have... oily beans will tend to stick to the internals & create nasty flavours... I would personally choose the Allground sense, mainly due to the burr size... 64s are far more common in the industry, so not only will it be cheaper to maintain, but also give you more options for burrs if you decide to fall down that rabbit hole. Plus, having used to sense, I can confirm that it is a truly impressive little grinder.
I don't have that data in front of me... but this is probably not the correct grinder to compare with the niche. Flat v Conical & Single dose v Hopper. Most grinders around this price range are all fairly similar & noise will be effected by the surroundings/brew bar setup... I would say the Timemore Sculptor is a much quieter grinder than both of these though. ua-cam.com/video/ThcHGUv91f8/v-deo.html
Hi Mitch, thanks for this video. Did you ever remove the plastic cover with the display? In my case there is a lot of retention inside. Which could also reach if you would put the brush from the bottom into the „output“. Or is it only my machine?
Hi mate, that was a fantastic video, very helpful thank you. I'm pretty new into coffee; I have been using a Breville smart pro grinder which I have been single dosing, and I'm wondering about upgrading to the all ground sense (GBW). It looks like while the all ground has fantastically low retention, I imagine there will be plenty of grounds stored in the burrs themselves when it stops grinding once hitting the target weight. Do you think this will be a problem? I love the idea of the improved workflow that GBW offers, but I wonder whether a burr-full of stale coffee grounds every morning outweigh (pun intended) the workflow improvements
Perfect pun 😅 If you are planning on 100% single dosing. I would recommend the DF83v and a decent set of scales... you will end up with a better coffee in my opinion. However if you want a hopper... the Allground sense is by far the best grinder in that price range.
Hi from NZ, Mitch. A quick question on the programmable timer. How many seconds do you run the grinder for a double shot? I've found the out of box 8 secs nowhere near long enough
A nice informative video. I have a question. I generally drink filter coffee. I occasionally turn to espresso. We can say that 75% filter, 25% espresso. Do you think it would make sense for me to buy this grinder? It will be my first grinder. Thank you.
Thank you for tuning in. If you are only drinking espresso occasionally, I wouldn't purchase any hopper style grinder... a single dose grinder like the DF83V or similar will absolutely suit your needs much better.
@@atmospher1 I would recommend just using small containers to have your coffee already dosed to the right weight... I used to do that in my cafe for special coffees available.
hi I'd like to talk to you about buying a Coffee grinder and coffee machine I like the sanremo grinder but I have never owned a grinder or coffee machine any help would be greatly appreciated
It is a very different type of grinder, but i would definitely use this in comparison to my 078s... I would suggest checking out the DF83v that I an currently testing... I will be doing a complete review video on it shortly. So far... it's looking pretty good.
@@mitchdoescoffee I just watched a different review and conclusion was that each step (in the espresso range), results in a 4s extraction difference in the cup. Not great, but also not disastrous.
Great review, thanks! So, do your tests imply this grinder can also be used for single dose? It looks like your tests show that retention is basically zero! Is it true? Thanks
I have used it as a single dose grinder, and it isn't too bad for the job at all. For a similar price, I would be looking at something for like the coffeetech df83 though
Hmmmm... that's a tough one. I love the convenience of a hopper grinder for my daily spro at 4am, but single dose will always give me a better coffee with a little bit of work.

The benefits having the same setup! Nice vid Mitch

In case of touch screen failure, can the Fiorenzato Allground grind manually from the switch button ?
No, if the touch screen fails, you have likely fried the main board.
Under $200aud to replace.

Coffee grounds can definitely find their way into some pretty crazy places... I will pop the cover off and see exactly how it could get in there. 🙏🏻

Correct 🤣
Hi from NZ, Mitch. A quick question on the programmable timer. How many seconds do you run the grinder for a double shot? I've found the out of box 8 secs nowhere near long enough
Hey mate. Typically I've found these are around 11-12 seconds for 21-22g (roast profile will make a large difference)

@@mitchdoescoffee It makes sense, I'll take that into consideration, thanks.
Do you feel the amount of coffee in the hopper impact the consistency of the grind?
Yes for sure. Once it drops below roughly 100g, it will lose a little bit of consistency... but that's completely reasonable

Great vid mate! Really enjoying the content you are producing 🙏🏾
Any other comparable grinders to this that you’d suggest looking at?
Thank you so much mate. I would have to say, the closest thing to its quality in this price range would be the compak e6 or Eureka atom 75.
Considering selling my 078s because of how frustrating it's been. How does this compare to the 078s?

Can’t wait to see more
Thanks mate. Next big one will be the Timemore 🙏
This grinder is not meant to be a single doser. It would be good for a one or two bean type grinder.
That is 100% correct. However, it's still certainly possible to use it as a single dose grinder.
@@mitchdoescoffee absolutely with a bellow.
@user-kb3nj5zi4c for sure. It would actually be even better if there was a constant "ON" function while in espresso mode.
@@mitchdoescoffeehow do you use it in single dosing? I tend to have 0.2/0.3g of retention
How small / large are the steps for espresso? I'm loving everything about this grinder, but I'm hesitant because it is stepped, not stepless.
I've VERY rarely needed a micro adjustment between each click. I've already toyed with making it stepless, but it's really not worth the effort.
