I do appreciate the 40K+ views on this video! A fellow commenter asked if there is a westbound portion of the line. I have the video published but it’s not public anymore, it’s unlisted. So if you’re willing to watch my mistake on the poor lighting underground and still see it the westbound portion regardless, here’s the link: ua-cam.com/video/KrA4dry2LIQ/v-deo.html As a bonus, I have an unreleased failed railfan video of the Blue Line from Franconia to Largo (if you can call it that) that was published but got private because the metrorail operator block my view of recording by placing a backpack on the left side of the window that I cringed out and have to end the video short. If you want to see it here’s the link as well: ua-cam.com/video/Y_24itW6QOI/v-deo.html The like ratio and the comments are disabled on those two videos. I honestly don't want any criticism on how good or bad it is on the railfan and especially people going mad or spam and point interest that was good on the video in the comments section. (*Clears throat* Jeremy Horwitz) Again, thanks for the huge support!

Awesome, back in 2003 I got to spend a week (Canada Day & July 4) in the DC area visiting the in laws, who lived right near one of the orange line stations. Used it to do all the touristy stuff and I think the DC metro system is amazing. My town (Ottawa) has just started it's metro system (using LRT but it functions as a metro).
idk why cleaning rolling stock isnt high on Public Transit's list. I love how the Emergency Box glows in the dark. I know its normal, i just think its cooling looking.
I feel that DC's metro loading gauge is one of the more restrictive on the continent (tapered cross section toward the roof). Is this for tilting for more speed, smaller tunnel bores, and for tilting while passing?
the term you are looking for is Super Elevated. the outside rail is banked. This enables the to hit curves at higher speed without slowing for the tight track curve it would normally have.

Alessandro J. Montaño After 6000 series carts or lower are still around after COVID-19 when metro is back in schedule, then yes, partially though. Because some of the lines the yellow and green line aren’t using the 6000 series carts or lower. So I may only do the orange and blue lines. I don’t know about the silver line. Because They’re extending the silver line to Londoun county VA. It’s like a two and a half hour commute ride. The only camera I use is my phone. If I record too long either my battery’s about to die, or my storage space is too high. So I may not do the silver line. Maybe the official WMATA UA-cam channel will have a Silver Line Ride along once they officially extended it.
After August 16, you might see the 2000/3000/6000 series cars out and about as all the lines will be running close to a normal schedule. The cars mentioned above will remain after COVID-19 as there is nothing to replace them yet.
Washington DC Metro Orange Line train ride through Fairfax, Merrifield, Falls Church, and Arlington, Virginia, Washington DC, Smithsonian National Mall, the United States Capitol, Eastern Market, the RFK Stadium, Prince George's County, and Bowie, Maryland.
But wait a minute here! Why didn't the Washington DC Metro operator say, "Good afternoon and welcome aboard the Orange Line train by the way of downtown Washington DC. Your first station is Dunn Loring-Merrifield?"
And also, why didn't the Washington DC Metro operator say, "Stadium-Armory, final transfer point for your Blue and Silver Line trains in the direction of Largo Town Center on the same side platform?"
And why didn't the Washington DC Metro operator also say, "East Falls Church, first transfer point for the Silver Line train in the direction of Wiehle-Reston East by the way of Tysons Corner on the opposite side of the platform?"
Why didn't the Washington DC Metro operator say, "Metro Center, transfer point to the Red Line trains on the upper level in the directions of Shady Grove and Glenmont?"
Again, why didn't the Washington, D.C. Metro operator say, "L'Enfant Plaza, also your transfer point for your Green Line train in the direction of Branch Avenue and Greenbelt and the Yellow Line train to Huntington and Greenbelt?"
But wait a minute again! Why didn't the Washington, D.C. Metro operator also say, "Foggy Bottom George Washington University, first station in the District of Columbia?"
I just wanted to know why I commented twenty questions about how the Washington DC Metro operator forgotten to say, "East Falls Church, first transfer point for the Silver Line train in the direction of Wiehle-Reston East via Tysons Corner on the opposite side of the platform, "Rosslyn, final station in the Commonwealth of Virginia, also your first transfer point for the Blue Line train in the direction of Franconia-Springfield, via Arlington Cemetery, Pentagon and Reagan National Airport," "Foggy Bottom George Washington University, first station in the District Of Columbia," "Metro Center, transfer point for the Red Line trains in the directions of Shady Grove and Glenmont on the upper level platform," "L'Enfant Plaza, transfer point for the Yellow Like train in the direction of Huntington and Greenbelt, and the Green Line to Branch Avenue and Greenbelt," and "Stadium-Armory, final transfer point for the Blue and Silver Line trains in the direction of Largo Town Center on the same side platform."

Is there a webpage or email address through which to request permission to take cab view vids of entire metro lines?
You can’t sit in the operator’s cab because the operator has to do left side door operations from the left side. It’s a safety issue.
