Car Batteries? No, as you’ve guessed they’re quarter lights; hardly visible at a distance and up close look just fine. All in all the Statue is very, very good. I disagree with Jeff’s theory regarding Weta’s likeness/licensing; both this and Leto Joker look good, this being most accurate. Unlike Sideshow’s 1/4 Armoured & normal BvS Batman PF’s which were Stuntman/Actor Richard Cetrone’s likeness, this IS an Affleck portrait. I guess the weta Superman Portrait fail was due to a rushed release or similar. Apart from that, with BEAST KINGDOM now having the Comic Batman/Superman/Justice League rights, I expect this to be the last Weta DC statue. Love this piece, 500 ES and very imposing for a quarter scale. Cheers and thanks for the upload 👍🏻
So glad you decided to pick him up! I have him next to Weta Darkseid, going to pick up Cavill Superman to put on the other side. Fingers crossed for more DC pieces from Weta! I think they would do an incredible Wonder Woman.
I enjoy my one-offs as well. Your Red Sonja video inspired me to pick her up even though I didn't have any others from her story, and now she's one of my favorites in the collection. This Nightmare Batman is honestly pretty tempting but the money is keeping me at bay since I have other things on order and have the Hit Toys version of him in the meantime
Fenomenal review on a fenomenal statue. This piece really blows the Iron Studios version away. The likeness is indeed spot on in this piece. I would only display the Batfleck head piece. Your theorie about the license could be right. But for me their Joker and Darkseid was really spot on likeness wise. Maybe there was a problem with the license to Henry. But indeed it's a shame what happened with their Superman piece when you look at this Batfleck. I really hope Weta keeps going with this line. Would like to see a WW, Mera and Deathstroke from them. Mister Congratulations on getting this fenomenal piece. A worthy piece to your beautiful collection 👍👏👏👏💪💯
Looks amazing! I preferred this one over the Queen Studios as well but didnt want to pay the retail cost so I ended up PO'ing the Queen which I regret now as Weta provided that coupon.
so after watching this review i really wanted this piece... and so it was just delivered today, and i have to say... absolute amazing piece. the colors look so good in person and the likeness to afleck is spot on. cannot recommend enough if you want a nightmare batman that looks gritty and straight out of the movie scene. i know queen has a nightmare version coming up but this weta version kills it completely.
Love is piece, ordered it awhile back. Going to pair it up with Queens Kightmare Batman. Unfortunately both tails of the coat were snapped in half when I received it. They already shipped out a new one, hopefully it comes in one piece.🤞🏻

I totally agree, if you like it and its a piece you find yourself going back again and again to the retailers site to look at you should highly consider getting it. I personally really want this piece, the price is holding me back tho. I love the nightmare sequence in the movie and this particular vision of batman. One reason i got the prime one grim knight 1/3 scale piece. so rare and so totally awesome to see batman with guns. i have the weta tomb raider piece, an amazing diorama, large 1/4 scale, done very well with great detail and paint apps, super happy with it. this batman piece from weta looks also done very well and i think they totally nailed the ben afleck likeness.
Not a fan of Batfleck nor Snynderverse, but this is a great looking piece. Excellent likeness, amazing pose, and the details on the base and coat are awesome. I'd probably go with the the covered portrait myself since he looks more badass that way.
Hey . Great review . Interested in getting this piece but was wondering how does it scale to other 1/4 scale pieces like sideshow . I’m afraid on the getting the queen one sense they are always under scale
And I agree, this one looks way better than the one from queen studios. I also like the superman, I think the normal face looks ok and it’s engineering is one of the best. May be the only one superman that is flying and not supported by the tip of one of his feet.

At 4:18 I believe those are tail lights. I prefer the regular cowl portrait, love him looking up to the sky with intensity. Great purchase!

My Queen pieces do look small compared to Sideshow pieces. The Weta Knightmare Batman would fit quite well, I think.
