I love this song especially that it was sung at my lil brother's funeral mass he was one of Tucsons most outstanding high-school runners he attended Sunny Side High School and that song was a touching melody because it's about running , I love Tohono O Otham music as well as my mother may she rest in peace!!! Congrats on your beautiful music!!!!
I'm exploring my indigenous roots. My family hails from Northern Mexico (Northern most Sonora / Arizona). I've heard family say that we're Yaqui, but my dad's family does not look like them. I feel like our family is more aligned with the Tohono O'odham tribe. The members of the tribe look like my family. The music is soothing to my soul.
I take off my boots and sweaty face while I wipe if those meanings u say better be .are people are hurt are government is the the u dance to so much money u need to open ur kind eyes my brother sooo much and more are people are struggling wake up brother
love to see that our people collectively come to our traditional songs when we feel lost or discontent, and the fact we share our own each unique deeply moving memories tied to these as well . Grateful to call my self Akimel Oodham!!!! stay well out there fam💙 Sapo sapo
