Crescentknight8189 Sheldon apparently wasn’t aware of the real reason Georgie threw away the Halloween costume. Protecting his little brother from getting beat up. Sheldon left out what scientist he was going to dress up as.
Darcy Brummett that's what I mean. Sheldon tends to exaggerate things to make himself seem more grandiose and suffering under the yoke of his simple family, but what it looks like on Little Sheldon, that wasn't the case
Crescentknight8189 Another possibility is because of the different way of thinking(at least I think) is not reading or percepting it the same due to cut back of certain portions and acceleration in other's. The way Sheldon would react would also be different from the normal person simply even based on this so his experience isn't perse distorted(possibly is distorted everyone is different after all) I would think but like a different lense entirely that's another possibility. So to him it would be accurate for recollection to another it could technically be called distorted yes to the regularily "normal" functioning brain.
Watching Young Sheldon after this episode, I have a bigger appreciation for Georgie. He stepped up further when he became a father. And when he said to George at the funeral before the casket closed, "You don't have to worry. I got everything under control. I won't let you down, Dad." Georgie is the Cooper family's silent hero.
Barracuda id say if you’ve watched young Sheldon this hits harder than it does, especially how they were to each other when kids and how Georgie went from being kinda lazy to having to support his family emotionally and financially
Cray May But then you can't blame Sheldon for something that he didn't realise that was happening and doesn't actually have the capability especially at the age he was when his dad died to understand and be helpful in the situation
Sheldon’s recollection of most of his past should be taken with a grain of salt. He always believed himself superior to his family members. He was definitely the favorite. He got the computer he always wanted. Georgie was mean and nice to him like all big brothers. Lol Missy was definitely important to him, he left to be there during her pregnancy. Would you picture Rebecca Romijn as Old Mandy, especially since her husband, Jerry O'Connell is only three years younger and Mandy’s 12 years older than him.😅
Honestly it was emotional for me to see this scene between Sheldon and his brother! It must have been really difficult living with Sheldon and then in his shadow!! But I have to admit changed a lot since the beginning of the show!! Great acting!!
I really liked this episode. This scene between Sheldon and Georgie made me cry!!The sacrifices Georgie made for Sheldon and his family without ever telling it to Sheldon is truly a mark of wise and loving person.Don't trust Sheldon's account of people lol!!
Makes me Wonder if George had actually cheated on Mary, or if Mary had just believed that or Sheldon assumed. I doNt condone cheating. Something about this conversation makes me wonder about the accuracy of Sheldon's understanding of that situation.
I love how they gave George Sr the line "Wouldn't miss it" as one of his last lines before he left in Young Sheldon, same line as George Jr said when Sheldon asked him to come to his wedding. Nice touch to make things come full circle in Young Sheldon and connect it to TBBT. Very heavy and emotional ending for Young Sheldon, but it was a great show and I loved it!
First episode we get to see Georgie....and was enough to see how cool and a hard-working man he is. Good to see how Sheldon finally realizes his older brother was always there to protect him, despite being a pain in the butt sometimes 😢
This is one of my least favorite scene in the entire series. I hated it! Georgie bullied Sheldon, who clearly has issues, be it OCD, sensory integration disorder or whatever. And Georgie plays the victim because when George Sr. died, he, who was a grown adult by then, had to put his big boy pants on and help his family. Pathetic! The choice is yours. Choose wisely... I never forget!"
It's quite sad how even when George matured super fast and became the breadwinner after his father's passing, Mary still doted on Sheldon. When George Sr passed, George didn't just lose a father, he lost the one parent who saw something in him. George Sr loved all his children equally in their own way, but you could tell Mary definitely played favourites with Sheldon, and just couldn't see the man George was becoming. Maybe she was blinkered, or maybe she saw so much of her late husband in George that she almost kept feeling loss because of it, but Mary was definitely not a good mother.
I have never saw the Big Bang Theory before, but I did watch a few episodes from the show "Young Sheldon" recently. It was a bit obscure, and yet interesting at the same time.
“Mom was a mess”( she became even more overly religious and distant from her children. The scene where she’s sitting in front of George Senior’s tombstone she was dismissive of Memmaw’s claims that her children needed her but she wouldn’t listen and focused more and more on Sheldon) “Missy was dumb teenager” (without her father and mother’s negligence she became rebellious, party girl and as she grew older was attracted to losers and got knocked up by said losers) “I had to look after both of them” (financially and emotionally, possibly costing his marriage and getting divorced)
That’s why I did not like about her. She was always more religious over her own children! Even Meemaw tried to convince her her children needed her more than ever after George passed
This episode sure does show he really loves his brother. And it also ties well with the younger Georgie and Sheldon. I hope they show when their father died in the new series. Jim Parsons also lost his own father when he was young.
Brothers are Partners. Brotherly love is how we have positive moments to keep. That’s what I’m grateful for. I love you bro. Your the best brother ever❤❤❤
I feel like Georgie taking care of his family after their dad’s death is what leads to his and Mandy’s divorce. He’s stretched to thin and Mandy is also stressing with CeeCee and missing her husband, they will bottle it up tho bc neither wants to talk about and they think it’s for the best until it breeds resentment and all blows up in their face
That’s the thing about being the oldest sibling. The parents always ask the most of them but gives all the attention to the younger siblings. Always a thankless job
this definitely made sense after watching the young sheldon series finale. At first how i was kind of disatisfaction with mary and missy's ending knowing how georgie and mandy will have his own series+ seen Sheldon's future (big bang theory). We've only seen the glimpse of their grieving.
Crisostomo Ibarra It is reasonable though. After their father died, he stepped up and became the man of the house and had to take care of his mom and sister. What Sheldon described of his brother was one sided.
In Sheldon’s defense, they actively hid the struggles from him. Especially for someone like Sheldon who doesn’t do well with social cues, it seems a bit unfair to get mad at him for not knowing.
Blame Mary for that. Missy and Georgie and George didn't coddle him like Mary. Considering sheldon is an adult now, the responsibility for his own actions lies on him. I would understand not picking things up when you are a kid but as an adult that excuse doesn't stick. He has friends, girlfriend and you are telling me he couldn't figure out that losing her husband would be rough for Mary Missy and Georgie? Also taking first step to patch things up with Georgie doesn't require social skill. That just requires love and no ego.
Unbelievable Sheldon's family 1. Laurie Metcalfe as his mother 2. Courtney Henggeler as his sister 3. June Squibb as his MeeMaw and now 4. Jerry O'Connell as his brother
The writers knew that by the time Leonard said his last line that everyone would've been feeling a similar way, so they added that bit of comedy relief, which makes my heart happy lol
Literally me and my brother had a reconciliation like this a couple years ago. It felt good to finally clear the air and just let go of all our grievances. My brother wasn't as far on the spectrum as me, but he never let me think my disability was a disability. He just told me, like my dad, that I just see the world differently. I was at his wedding - not his best man mind you, but it meant the world to watch him get married and I even gave a wonderful speech that he and his wife loved. I love my brother and I will fight for him. He may not have been the best, but he was genuine and he loves me. And that's all I can really ask for
After watching the Young Sheldon finale, it’s hard for these 2 that it would take Georgie 2 decades for Sheldon to finally apologize for not thanking him for being there for him. Their father would be very proud at them to finally act like brothers. Now I just can’t wait to see what Georgie & Mandy would explained what happened after Sheldon left for CalTech.

@@Crescentknight8189 He thinks differently from every one else what did you expect
Young Sheldon has a case of the unreliable narrator, it seems.
After Young Sheldon finale , this scene is even more impactful. W George for stepping up once again.
George was taking care of his mom, sister and a baby all at the same time.
And the boy genius was too dumb to appreciate it.
He had a lot on his plate
Thx to young sheldon, without it this scene wouldnt be that great
I never watched young Sheldon. Still love that scene tho
Barracuda id say if you’ve watched young Sheldon this hits harder than it does, especially how they were to each other when kids and how Georgie went from being kinda lazy to having to support his family emotionally and financially
@@kaeaedwin7937
Now it hits even harder knowing how it ended with George dying. It might hit even harder once we watch the spin-off to Young Sheldon.
Georgie always made sacrifices 💕
Cray May But then you can't blame Sheldon for something that he didn't realise that was happening and doesn't actually have the capability especially at the age he was when his dad died to understand and be helpful in the situation
So does Leonard and especially Amy.
His mom calls her kids dumb as soup, but really only compared to Sheldon.
Well when you really think about it Sheldon is only academically intelligent, he's basically stupid in everything else. His siblings might not have had the same academic prowess but they sure are a lot smarter than Sheldon thinks.
The only thing he didn't exaggerate his sister when they were kids
@@kgunitkeese17 sheldon is way smarter than his siblings. Those social stupid things like understanding humour and sarcasm or being sassy is not considered smartness. Sheldon won the Nobel prize, what else do you need as a confirmation.
@@swapnanilsinha1374 What they mean is that Sheldon is BOOK smart, while Georgie and Missy are STREET smart.
@@JSRbowling595 Meh but not on the same level. There are plenty of people that are "street smart" on the level of George and Missy, Sheldon is a world-renowned scientist.
So glad the younger George was introduced first. The older George looks cool too.
Older is first
@@jonafangk1288 Younger is first
@@samueledistefano4534 older George appears long before young Sheldon was made

0:31 Leonard: “Sheldon you need to apologize to your brother.”
Sheldon: “I’m sorry?”
Leonard: “Yes. Like that except nicer and that way.” LOL
This guy played a really good older Georgie
The accent though, it should be heavier.
TOMMY KELVIN GOMEZ JIMENEZ u do realize that not everyone can understand a Texas accent..right?? He wouldn’t be making a lot of money if people couldn’t understand what he’s saying..hence the reason why he toned the accent down, and besides he grew up, and sometimes even accents can fade away.
Edit: And just to be clear I’m not saying that his accent faded because he grew up
I'm so glad they chose Jerry O'Connell
as Sheldon's older brother, i couldn't have wished better.
He is so good in that role. I'm at the 11'th season, i hope we can see him again.
@@Naeinsengimnida I agree - it wasn't going to be a recurring role, and yet they went out and found an actor who could actually verbalize a lifetime of sacrifice and caring for Sheldon in a way that would make it believable for Sheldon to apologize. The scene was well-written, but Jerry O'Connell nailed the part.
Would you picture Rebecca Romijn as Old Mandy, especially since her husband, Jerry O'Connell is only three years younger and Mandy’s 12 years older than him.😅
"I wouldn't miss it." The fact that this was George Sr.'s final words to his family before he died makes this hit SO much harder.
Didn’t George Sr. say “see y’all later” before he died?
@user-rd3lc7bx9m Looking back just now, yes he did 💀 but before THAT, he said it!😂
Honestly it was emotional for me to see this scene between Sheldon and his brother! It must have been really difficult living with Sheldon and then in his shadow!! But I have to admit changed a lot since the beginning of the show!! Great acting!!
Georgie is a great older brother, and Sheldon is lucky to have him.
I really liked this episode. This scene between Sheldon and Georgie made me cry!!The sacrifices Georgie made for Sheldon and his family without ever telling it to Sheldon is truly a mark of wise and loving person.Don't trust Sheldon's account of people lol!!
Pls tell me what episode this is
Makes me Wonder if George had actually cheated on Mary, or if Mary had just believed that or Sheldon assumed. I doNt condone cheating. Something about this conversation makes me wonder about the accuracy of Sheldon's understanding of that situation.
@@rowenaramsaran4256 youll have to watch young sheldon to find out i guess
@@drummerxkun I have, but none of the episodes I've seen answer my questions.

So sad

I cried hard from the series finale
This has to be one of the greatest moments ever on this series
Who’s here after watching Young Sheldon 7x12😢.
I havent watched it yet, not sure im ready to watch it but i know what happens and knew the episode would come
right here! I had to because this paints a clearer picture now
I love how they gave George Sr the line "Wouldn't miss it" as one of his last lines before he left in Young Sheldon, same line as George Jr said when Sheldon asked him to come to his wedding.
Nice touch to make things come full circle in Young Sheldon and connect it to TBBT. Very heavy and emotional ending for Young Sheldon, but it was a great show and I loved it!
Watching this after seeing George actually die just hits really different 😢
First episode we get to see Georgie....and was enough to see how cool and a hard-working man he is. Good to see how Sheldon finally realizes his older brother was always there to protect him, despite being a pain in the butt sometimes 😢
Georgie might be a pain in the ass sometimes, but he is still Sheldon’s brother
watched this after the young sheldon finale, this scene and georgie's reaction hits totally different now.
The scene made me feel for Sheldon. He was almost innocent in his thinking because nobody explained to him how bad things were.
Pathetic! Shame on Mary for saying should wouldn't go to Sheldon's wedding unless he got his bully brother, who Mary herself called "dumb as soup" and complained was dating a wh0re, to come to the wedding that was tangible evidence of Sheldon's growth and should've been celebrated with people he wanted around him, not his bully. Though it's not in Sheldon's character to truly stand up to his mom if it's not science based, Sheldon should've said, "If you want to miss the biggest day of my life, fine, stay in Texas... And when we have grandchildren, you can stay home for that too. This is mine and Amy's wedding, not yours, and if you do love me enough to respect that, you don't need to be there. The choice is yours. Choose wisely... I never forget!"
Mary shielded him from that, and that's part of the problem.
My point was Sheldon's innocence and your reply makes it sound like Sheldon is at fault for being "shielded"
That's insane what his big brother has to go through i feel bad for him...
Rangkam Chaga Yeah me too there is more to Georgie than I thought.
same thing everyone who knows his pain in the ass little brother him and Leonard suffered the most
Hits you hard when your a big brother trying to support your siblings anyway possible
“Is it me or did we just patch a tire?”
“He said never patch. Do you even listen?”
😂 this was a great scene
It's quite sad how even when George matured super fast and became the breadwinner after his father's passing, Mary still doted on Sheldon. When George Sr passed, George didn't just lose a father, he lost the one parent who saw something in him. George Sr loved all his children equally in their own way, but you could tell Mary definitely played favourites with Sheldon, and just couldn't see the man George was becoming. Maybe she was blinkered, or maybe she saw so much of her late husband in George that she almost kept feeling loss because of it, but Mary was definitely not a good mother.
Chill out its just a fictional character dummy
@@yasssssss772 lol
This scene hits different when you have watched Young Sheldon.
why?
I have never saw the Big Bang Theory before, but I did watch a few episodes from the show "Young Sheldon" recently. It was a bit obscure, and yet interesting at the same time.
This hits harder after the young Sheldon finale today
Who's here after the series finale of Young Sheldon?
Watching this after the Young Sheldon finale just hits different now
2:15 aaaaaand he's back
“Mom was a mess”( she became even more overly religious and distant from her children.
Georgie and Sheldon are the two responsible Coopers in the whole family.
😇🙏🖖1:03
George. Sr: “those two of ma, best men out there.”
man, Young Sheldon Finale hits harder after watching this scene
Love how sheldons other brother got him to apologize to his real brother
Real heros appreciate their work from the shadows not in the limelight.
Damn, this scene hits even harder after seeing George Sr gone.
I love how in the end, they’re both annoyed at Leonard about the tire patch 😂
I cried watching this! They protected Sheldon from everything so he could study!
This episode sure does show he really loves his brother. And it also ties well with the younger Georgie and Sheldon. I hope they show when their father died in the new series. Jim Parsons also lost his own father when he was young.
Georgie in both The Big Bang Theory and Young Sheldon is UNDERESTIMATED!
I really liked what georgie said, life is hard for you, but isnt mean is easy for rest of us
Brothers are Partners.
Jerry did a great job.
lolly 89 He is underrated. He should have gotten that spot with Kelly Ripa not Ryan Seacrest.
@@Melisblessed He was great in Sliders.
He really did take care of the family 😢

That’s the thing about being the oldest sibling. The parents always ask the most of them but gives all the attention to the younger siblings. Always a thankless job
this definitely made sense after watching the young sheldon series finale. At first how i was kind of disatisfaction with mary and missy's ending knowing how georgie and mandy will have his own series+ seen Sheldon's future (big bang theory). We've only seen the glimpse of their grieving.
This hits harder after watching Young Sheldon
I love Georgie, he's a great guy. Wow I can't believe he made all those sacrifices.
Who would've thought georgie jr would grow up as a responsible man?
Crisostomo Ibarra It is reasonable though. After their father died, he stepped up and became the man of the house and had to take care of his mom and sister. What Sheldon described of his brother was one sided.
"Because I was protecting you too..." Man that was a tearjerker
Nothing makes me happier than seeing two brothers reconciling their relationship
1:04-1:30 this hits hard for someone who has watched the finale to Young Sheldon.
Young Sheldon George has just died! this seen means so much now!
Seeing this after young Sheldon Georgie really had to step it up and grow up fast
Unbelievable Sheldon's family
1. Laurie Metcalfe as his mother
2. Courtney Henggeler as his sister
3. June Squibb as his MeeMaw
and now 4. Jerry O'Connell as his brother
I was talking Guest stars as Sheldon's family, Jim Parsons is the Main star, silly.

Yep. I came here looking for this comment.
The writers knew that by the time Leonard said his last line that everyone would've been feeling a similar way, so they added that bit of comedy relief, which makes my heart happy lol
Great scene. I love how the actress playing the mom in TBBT is the real life mother of the actress who plays the mom in Young Sheldon. Great casting.
And that's all I can really ask for
Georgie is a sweetheart.... He has made a lot of sacrifices for his family
Damn, they both look like giants next to Leonard.

Honestly,Hearing Georgie’s speech about The Cooper Family is even more gut wrenching since Young Sheldon is ending tomorrow with George’s Sr.’s death.
Yea fr. George was such a damn good dad
0:08 that was so Sheldon
After watching the Young Sheldon finale, it’s hard for these 2 that it would take Georgie 2 decades for Sheldon to finally apologize for not thanking him for being there for him. Their father would be very proud at them to finally act like brothers. Now I just can’t wait to see what Georgie & Mandy would explained what happened after Sheldon left for CalTech.
Georgie kept his promise to George sr by taking care of his mom and sister and keeping Sheldon in the dark about all the chaos.
