Hi, you mentioned social media pages in another video. Its personally not my style. I find it takes away time I could be using to develop my work. Would that have any influence on an agent accepting my work? Do agents look negatively on an artist if they aren't on Instagram?
if I google you, will I find your work? I think some artists overdo it with social media, but really it's a tool to increase your visibility to clients and 'fans'. The more eyes that are on your work, the better. I don't think you need to spend hours and hours on it, but it can be useful to make yourself more visible. I don't really care if an artist has instagram if their work is good, though it is unusual these days.
Hi, I don't know if you came across this question but I'd appreciate a response if you know anything about it. If I'm a freelance illustrator who works with an agency and who wish to relocate would an illustration agency be able to assist in any way with receiving a visa in the country the agency operates in?
Good question. I guess it depends, but they could probably write a letter of recommendation, or a letter to confirm your professional relationship. Because you're not an employee of the agency i think the help they can give will be limited, but i'm sure they'll do what they can!
How do I become an illustration agent , I can’t find many companies that are hiring. I’m very interested but their is little to no information online. I have a degree in computer animation and I teach now but I have a passion for creativity.
It's a good question. My advice would be not to wait until you see a job advertised and just get in touch with a well written cover letter and a Resumé.
I'm afraid that is not the purpose of this channel. You should, of course, apply to an agency you feel is a good fit for your work when you are ready. What if you applied to me personally and didn't like the agency I work for? 😅

I would like to submit to you for representation. Could you please let me know how I can do that?

@@TheIllustratorsGuide this makes a lot of sense. Thank you! Could you please also let me know your agency?
