Note: I take a relatively in depth look at this game (first half of it) on my stream here - www.twitch.tv/videos/393083538 . It's not focused entirely on Liquid's B/Pit control but it is where I got the idea to make this video using this exact footage.
I totally didn't appreciate pit control until this video was made. this will help me and my friends a ton on overpass, as b site is normally the weaker site when we play. This in-depth content is difficult to find and very appreciated
I’m a huge fan of your videos, I just learned a lot by watching them and I’m pretty happy you’re doing videos again. Excelente content and all counter strike players should watch them to by better in game. Greetings from Brazil!
Could you show important places to stay alive on other maps like in this example pit is very powerful but on some maps on certain bombsites they don't seem to have a place like pit? If you see this I just wanna say i love your vids and i always get excited to see you in my notifications :)
yeah not every map has something like pit. mirage has CT+Jungle but those are obviously disconnected/pushed further away from the site than pit. Inferno has pit on the A side but that's not as hard to take and rotates aren't as relevant in preventing people from pushing up on pit. Inferno also has construction on B but again it's not as powerful as pit on overpass. Cache has checkers which I guess is a pretty close analogue to pit on overpass in how important it is to take but it's not a spot you necessarily fall back to and it's easier to clear. Train has "pushed up" inner which is also similar but it's not an exact spot as much as it is an idea that if the Ts don't get pushed up it's really hard to hold the afterplant.
Wtf i was legit thinking about to watch demos of overpass B holders after a lost Faceit game, and while I was thinking about that, I got the notification, like, what’s the chance?
most of the time people that run along bridge like that are people that come from short so you can deal with it in 2 ways. 1. you have a rotater in heaven or graffiti that means they can't push bridge or they'll die or 2. you make it hard for them to come from short by pressuring short often from b/con and having smokes/mollies on short when executes come out. edit: obviously just because they don't come up short doesn't mean they can't push bridge but it's a lot harder/more awkward to push all the way from monster up to bridge (and thereby people do it less) compared to going short and peeking bridge.
I mean, in the 1st round REZ does something really stupid by jumping down pit with an AK against a UMP. There odds are stacked against him winning a battle like that. Honestly that would be a stupid move even in MM. He not only dies but gives Twistzz an AK to boot. I understand the rationale of clearing out pit, but that's not the way you do it. In the 2nd example that's just good teamplay really. Twistszz gets a good flash from NAF to take out dennis, then manages to stay alive for long enough for his teammates to rotate and just give him support. In that situation NiP are pretty screwed regardless. I don't agree with the NiP players being exposed to heaven is bad at all. In fact that's a duel I take any day of the week. The bigger problem is that they're 2v4 and exposed to short. They have to quickly secure the site so they don't get flanked, and with Twistzz staying alive for an extra second or two it prevents NiP from retreating and taking defensive angles and trying to get pickoffs instead of being out in the open like that. So yeah, pit control is important but it's impossible without good teamwork. Twistzz got a lot of support from his team in quick fashion. This is not something that your average player will have any real use of however because people in pugs or mm have no concept of rotating, defensive flashes and supporting their teammates.

I didn't know rez was replaced by unconnected.
are we getting consistent uploads now? :))))))) What a nice birthday present from Voo!
Rustybits happy birthday bud
I've always found B site on Overpass the most confusing sites to hold and this video helped a lot, thank mr voo!

Really well made video as always. I really like the consistent uploads, I'm slowly implementing this into my game

About watching* I know, it’s 0:55 am at my country so my brain doesn’t function :)
last time i was this early, it was still processing, able to view only 360p. Now we`re 480p. Holy F
its contii, nice vid xd
what do you think of this unconnected kid? sure he's new and young but I think he has a lot of potential
He has the power to control people’s mind and make them kill themselves
But what do I do if they swing on me from bridge? That’s what usually happens to me and I end up dying

Can i know whats the best way to warmup before u "play"??
I usually play retakes, DM and a bit of aim botz, maybe kz if that’s your thing..
