That seems like a pretty decent B-grade. RTI has some really cool stuff, but the biggest issue is their grading system is terrible. I have received a B-grade that should have been a D-grade and a different B-grade that still had most of the bluing intact and was better than an A-grade I purchased from them. I think they just have warehouse employees with minimal firearms experience grading most of these, after Uli and Shaw pick out the rare stuff. Other issue is many of these guns were stored in stacks of 500 with no supports, so the guns at the bottom potentially had 2 tons of weight sitting on top of them.

Nicely done. Not bad at all for the price.

I made a Black Friday order as well: 2 mannlicher rifles like yours (one hand-select and w/o), a vetterli-carcano w/free slip which was on sale for 200$, and a ts carbine from Italy for $300. I also added stuff into the cart like 10 brass carcano clips, carcano bayonet, original VZ-52 sling (ordered a vz-52 from them as well), and reproduction slings for a carcano, gewehr 98, and enfields (since I did bought enfield rifles from them). I don't have much hopes for the mannlicher rifles since I have been burned on one and a 1888/90 (which was simply missing parts like the safety, components for the rear sight elevator and firing pin and spring. It is a hand-select purchase), but we will see what I got.

Hello again. I can say 2 things wrong: RTI didn't give me my 2 free mannlicher en bloc clips and the vetterli is missing parts like the safety and it maybe sewer pipe (or I can be wrong on that but this isn't a B-grade $150 vetterli, it is supposed to be an A Grade or $299 one. I plan to dispute that). But beside that, I am pretty happy with the Mannlicher 1895 rifles and Ts carbine I receive. One mannlicher is a hand-select and the other is a vanilla. I do notice that one of them have a sensitive safety that you can hear the firing pin going off when you lightly touch the trigger or mess with the assembly while the rifle is on safety. The other one has guck blocking the firing pin and a minor crack on the upper handguard. The finish is, of course, wire wheeled, which is whatever. The bores and rifling is good as well. There is pitting but I did a muzzle test with 8x56mmR and 8mm mauser on both and they didn't shallow. The TS carbine looks very good and still have cosmoline inside the barrel and the magazine. It is a Gardone/Beretta production. I hope to start cleaning them soon but I been busy with work and dealing with other expenses. @@arrondentinger2086

Nice! I have gotten a handful of firearms from RTI. So far I lucked out on 2 and two were absolute wastes of money. I got a c grade lebel and hakim and both were well worth the money. The two that were not were a c grade enfield (sewerpipe, all wood bad, and missing many parts) felt like I got the worst one in pile, and my b grade Lebel. B grade lebel has horrible wood with missing chunks, broken off front sight and bayonet lug, loose rear sight, and barrel is completely out of alignment of its factory mark which is the worst of it. I can do gunsmithing work but not barrel related work. It should not have been sold as b grade and I am forced to take it to a gunsmith now due to the barrel issue. Not worth the $700 by a long shot. I just ordered a Carcano Calvary carbine for $150 that was imported from Italy so my hopes are high for this one

I believe you only received good customer service because they effed up and sent you a gun that had possible liability issues attached to it. Their customer service, much like their grading system, is not known for being a positive and consistent experience overall. Might have persuaded an "A" grade out of them, or at least they should have offered something like a true hand-select B grade for your troubles. This place will never change..but it is what it is and most of the gun community knows about it by now.

They said that my replacement rifle would be in similar condition or better with a good bore, so basically I did get a hand select. Maybe I should have clarified that in the video.

RTI is a total lottery and a majority of what they sell is junk. You really need to know what your doing to order from them and to return it to shooting configuration. If RTI would sell the decent ones and part out the rest they would be better off. Sorry but the cheap milsurp train has left the station years ago.
