This aiming lesson is very good. Aiming could seem complicated, but once it's mastered at it's basic, it is just a matter of personal space left for the control of the fluctuation (the white space between aiming sights and the black circle)
nobody mentions this and its hard to tell, but the target disks are only around the size of a post-it note, so you can really appreciate how accurate these athletes are.
Thanks a million for such a wonderfully precise explanation of the shooting technique. I'm just starting out in the sport and this has helped me a lot!
I’ve been to target ranges. Naturally gravitated to 22lR. For controllability and economy. Never knew what you taught about proper use of sights. I was considered “pretty good” by the more experienced shooters. I will use this info.
In the early 1990's I was on the try out for the British Olympiut 22 rim fire pistol team. It was very affordable. Great fun. Sadly the club merged with another that was too far away for me, but I've never enjoyed large bore
this is what I have to learn, because sometimes I always forget to take pictures of the aiming 'breath control' and also pull the trigger which is a bit rough
Great video! lot of interesting aiming ips in a very short time...by the way, what is the name of the woman shooting in the image near the end of the video?
I am aspiring 10 m pistol shooter. I always face an error where the front side goes down when I align it and start trigger pull. How to overcome this. Not sure if my grip is eventually is loose as I trigger. Please help to rectify
Likely because she figured out with her gun it shoots up a bit, so she aims down as a result to allow for the shot to curve up. May not be the reason, but in my experience that’s usually why
It's for allowing some light between top of front sight and the bottom of target. If the black front sight touches the black target you miss the perfect vertical alignment of sight and spreads shots vertically.
It is a technique for precise target shooting. The goals determine if this 6 o'clock hold is best or not. Field shooting or any shooting where the target varies from the round black circle are usually best shot with a center hold.
My many, including me, the Baikal IZH-46M is considered a good entry level 10 m target air pistol. Not too expensive, and it's a single-stroke pneumatic so no worries about filling air cylinders or their expiration dates. Still it has decent , fully adjustable trigger, good sights and proper anatomic grip, and it is recoilless. If the hobby really catches on, then one may upgrade to a fancier PCP pistol and either keep the IZH as a backup or sell it to the next guy. Any model from Walther, Steyr, Feinwerkbau, Morini or Pardini are good enough for winning in the Olympics, which one to select is the matter of personal preference and local availability of specialized service - these things need it now and then.
i never thought i needed a lesson in shooting a pistol by werner herzog... but here we are.
🤣
Thank you for taking your time out of trying to kill 007 to deliver this video to us. It was very helpful.
🤣😂
no mr bond, i expect you to keep both eyes open while aiming your pistol

Thanks a ton. This video is insanely helpful as a beginner!
A very simple but effective solution to better accuracy...good job..😊

Last ten seconds are essential!
Oh que oui, le focus est l élément essentiel. Passez de bonnes séances de tir.
This is exactly correct. It is amazing how few shooters in the US understand this outside ISSF circles.

Learnt a lot from that, very well explained, many thanks.

Leaving a gap can only be a good method if the target is always exactly at the same distance. Was this mentioned in the video.
Wow learned a ton and sounds so relaxing like listening to bob ross, with a twist.
Wonderful explanation!
Well explained sir, thank you very much, will be very helpful..

Question: why she aimed under the target?
Likely because she figured out with her gun it shoots up a bit, so she aims down as a result to allow for the shot to curve up. May not be the reason, but in my experience that’s usually why
It’s clearly explained in the video. It’s about artefact how the sights are aligned.
It's for allowing some light between top of front sight and the bottom of target. If the black front sight touches the black target you miss the perfect vertical alignment of sight and spreads shots vertically.
The hole to bullet is below the target. Should not the target sight be slightly above the centre point ?
I got your answer
When you focus on pistol sight the target gets blurred so pistol is designed as you aim under the target you get a perfect shot
Why do you aim at a lower level from the target?
It is a technique for precise target shooting. The goals determine if this 6 o'clock hold is best or not. Field shooting or any shooting where the target varies from the round black circle are usually best shot with a center hold.
Nice ❤ thank you 😊

I have to readjust my rear sight
yaa i think im ready.
This is very strange for someone who shoots IPSC and IDSC.
I thought the safest bet is to aim half of the black spot
But I am told that we should aim just below 6
excellent
Thanks sir Ji
❤
gonna need to edit the video to add Yusuf Dikec in lol
Sometimes we don't get even after everything is perfect ,why it leads to bad shot . 😒
Apparently something was not perfect, one just did not notice what it was 🤔
Tilted head bad practices
Speaking English maybe???
Very useful info 👌
