@@melissagardner6701 you have some great history and the genealogy of some amazing true Americans. What an honor for you to be able to call them family. My Grandfather was also in WWII. He was on the USS Enterprise. He was in every major battle in the Pacific after Pearl Harbor. He never talk about it. When he passed away I helped grandma with all his personal stuff we were amazed at what we found. Over his life he collected anything that had to do with the Enterprise. The thing is, no one knew not even grandma. He would purchase things in private and put it away with his stuff. We were a Navy family for the most part. Three uncles in Vietnam, two Navy and one in the Air Force. I have researched my family and we have had family members in every war this country has ever fought. We are very lucky in the fact that we have never lost one member of the family do to war.
Love it. My brother and I use to do this same thing. It's worse than any drug you can do. Lol. The new stuff people throw away and like new is amazing. He's gone now and I'm to weak. He would have enjoyed your show. I sure do. Makes me wished he was still here. Thanks for the throw back. 💓
I love the monkey statue, he is so neat. It's amazing what people throw out instead of just, clean, recycle, donate. If there are stubborn spots on the ottoman/chaise cushion you can stain treat it with oxy clean solution and the scrub and rinse again and they should come out. They also sell sprays just to clean patio furniture and cushions. Nice finds. On your question of go pro versus iPhone, use whatever is most comfortable for you. It's easier for you to have both hands while picking. So maybe and external light for go pro or a hands free harness of some kind for the iPhone? Or just keep on doing what you are already doing.
19:53 that is a very old blow torch. You will find that the the ammo tin, old fuel tin (which is probably for the blow torch and lamp) and the tilly lamp (rusty green light) are worth the most because people collect that stuff. Maybe try to restore the lamp a bit though as that is some serious rust. A power washer will get that green mildew off the cushion too. A quick spray with stain remover, leave for 10 mins and then power wash...GONE! :) LOTS of really great finds there my friend, I wish you well.

I have a few friends here who understand "dumpster diving" and how to find good stuff being thrown away. If you know the upper class areas, where people throw away leather couches just because they're remodeling and don't like the color or it doesn't match. You find everything, lawnmowers get tossed, because they need something stupid like a spark plug. Usually not too old either. Some things are more seasonal though. Like we filled a truck with old grill covers once, all that aluminized adds up fast. Or they throw away cans because they don't care about a few nickles. Made our drive worth it. Then there's businesses, sometimes offices do upgrades. You can find dumpsters full of old computers and other electronics. Only better than this is doing estate clean out, when you actually get paid to go through a house and pick through everything and either throw it away or put it aside. It's just mind blowing what gets thrown away though. And what's expensive new technology today, is in the dumpster tomorrow. Obsolete or not, it's not always garbage.
I like the weight for the clock. It looks like one that I need. I actually need two of them. I think they would work on my Eli Terry clock. It's about 200 years old and is made of all wooden parts. Eli Terry was a famous inventor who established mass production of clocks in the early 1800's. I need the weights in order to complete my clock and they are not easy to find.
God bless you for the things that you upcycled. I guess my Dad was before h iui s time I don't know how many nice things he upcycled for us and help others. So that why I watch you and others that do what you do.
I'm new to your channel and just love watching you find such great stuff and then showing it again in the day light. I've watch a few other trash pick channels and yours is by far the best. You get right to the pile of goodies! It's amazing what people will put in the trash. Things like the curtains in a bag to go into land fills instead of putting them in an open box where they would be more visible or donate them to salvation army or thing like that. Glade you open the bags! Again I'm really glade I found you.
I really thought I had at least 2 of everything I could want but NO! That monkey table is adorable! Don't know were I would put it but I like it. Great hunting, love watching you.
Some nice scores , enough for a flea market booth . Some of the older Coleman lanterns are worth big bucks . That one item with the handle is an antique blow torch. I guess the pump is to apply air pressure in the can. I think it runs on kerosene. Kind of like a flame thrower. That scale metal is for weighing blocks of ice. Years ago before refrigerators made ice or stores sold crushed ice, we had to purchase block ice. They would weight it. That weight on the tailgate is so a certain weight.
Bell thing went with the flat piece of iron that was curved at the end and had a hook on each side in the middle. That was and old timey cotton scale you would Attach the hook to a pole then hook your beg of cotten onto the hook then use the weight and move it until it balanced...I used a many of them picked a lot of cotten..

I love to watch your channel and see what all you find. Great picks ! By the way that little can is a kerosene can to fill the lantern and a blowtorch. That weight goes on the long bar thing, it's a weight measure. I want to say it weighted bags of cotton that people picked in the fields. It hung from a post and you could weigh what ever ..corn , etc. There was several weights that went with it. I'm sure you could find on ebay. Ice tongs. the weight on the hook was a weight you would hang on one end and your crops on the other end of that hook thing so u could tell how much your srop weighed.

You did pretty well overall not to much to fix just sell it all. You gotta a pretty good voice on ya too the singing picker man. Get a t-shirt made you never know. Happy sales 🐺🐾👍
If that exercise bike is a Peleton, they have had a recall because of the pedals. Nice neighborhood. That old fashion ice cream maker brings back memories. Good hunting.
The metal bell looking piece used to be used too clear out septic lines. I actually bought one at a yardsale because it was old , rusty and looked neat. The man told me what it is .

Enjoy your videos. Beautiful homes there too! I’m always surprised what people throw away. Here in South Dakota we normally don’t see items out on the curb like this till it’s for spring clean up days in each towns. Keep on rolling! 😊
If that collar is black fur and kind of coarse (each hair thick and not very soft), it is bear fur and you can get really decent money for it. It sells better than mink. Teddy bear makers grab them up.
He sure does! I knew it was for crops but wasn't sure which one. He is lucky, you usually don't find that many pieces together especially the bigger hook part of it.

I saw the exercise equipment and thought oh man those things break down into a thousand pieces. But hey you are a determined man I'll give you that. You did pretty well overall not to much to fix just sell it all. You gotta a pretty good voice on ya too the singing picker man. Get a t-shirt made you never know. Happy sales 🐺🐾👍
Haha thanks. I enjoy singing. I’ve been thinking about making hats, maybe shirts too 🤔
New subbie here, my son as well serves in the army, he’s stationed over in Germany! Nice score!
Thanks Kevin. Thank you boy for his service. I know you’re very proud
Love watching your videos. You sure do find some awesome things.
Thanks Lupe
Really enjoyed your video! You are my favorite to watch!! Have subscribed! I like that you donate what can be used!!
Thanks Jackie! 🙏🏽😁
Good morning nice score keep rockin it stay blessed.
You too Pauline
I believe the handled metal thing you couldn't read is like a plow torch from late 50's to 60's. I remember my father using one.
I can’t believe the exercise equipment you were picking up! Making space for all the new Christmas toys maybe.
Maybe?
I think she dumped her husband and all his equipment.
If that exercise bike is a Peleton, they have had a recall because of the pedals. Nice neighborhood. That old fashion ice cream maker brings back memories. Good hunting.
Thank you Linda
The ice cream maker is the bomb makes great ice cream
The metal bell looking piece used to be used too clear out septic lines. I actually bought one at a yardsale because it was old , rusty and looked neat. The man told me what it is .
I love watching you picking. You found some great stuff, I like those pictures. I know a lot of little boys would love that dragon backpack! Can’t believe people would throw away those brand new curtains! Great video lots of cool stuff. There is a UA-cam website called “The clock guy “he might need that weight for one of his clocks, he’s a good guy. Him and his wife go dumpster diving and find a lot of cool stuff.
Ok I’ll check it out
Enjoy your videos. Beautiful homes there too! I’m always surprised what people throw away. Here in South Dakota we normally don’t see items out on the curb like this till it’s for spring clean up days in each towns. Keep on rolling! 😊
Thanks for tuning in my friend!
Sweet haul. The trash in Michigan is actual trash, nothing this good. Congrats!
That's an antique torch.
An ice cream maker! Cool 😎
They're great fun at cook-outs and barbeques.
Very nice
I have a great recipe for homemade ice cream, no eggs
@@greyferguson9319 who puts eggs in ice cream?
That is my dream to checking something in the garbage place because it was happened for me I found the gold in the bin also lots of bags..
I literally could use almost everything that you looked at.
If that collar is black fur and kind of coarse (each hair thick and not very soft), it is bear fur and you can get really decent money for it. It sells better than mink. Teddy bear makers grab them up.
How fun we try to buy flea market but never thought about this cool! You’ll have a thrift store before to long
I could have one now if I had the time. I do, however, have a booth inside an antique mall. I do pretty well there.
Got alot of good stuff wow...beautifull house you have. Thank you for your service 🙏 ❤. Seen your flag.
Thanks
My son is in the Army
They used to refinish those brass blow torches and make lamps out of them
You have a cotton picking scale and the weight that goes on it! It’s antique.
He sure does! I knew it was for crops but wasn't sure which one. He is lucky, you usually don't find that many pieces together especially the bigger hook part of it.
That’s what I told him but not all there
That long rusted thing looks like an old weighing scale, that goes with that heavy bell looks like object.
