Choosing a validator is important, in this video you chose one of the worse ones because it has a 10% comission fee and also only 11.34% interest rate. I would recomment using the icy road validator, it has 0% fees and 12.56% interest and is the best known in the community

Very true. I noticed this back when i staked my CRO & ATOM... I use either 0% or 1% commission pools
If the commission is 10%, does that mean they take 10% of your earnings? So if you made 5000 cro from rewards you’d owe them 500?

It’s dropped to 12.50% and you have fees every time you restake. Although it might be small, if you want to compound interest, every Cro adds up.

Look at Finland and Jerry's validators they don't charge fees like the one you choose does, so do many others (might be more that don't but haven't looked through them all)

You're mentioning the 28 days unbonding period a few times in your video. Just to be clear: this is a period that starts AFTER you want to take out your funds. During this period your stake doesn't accumulate interest. So ANYTIME you want to unstake and withdraw your money from the pool you'll have to initiate that 28 days period of no interest and wait. It can be tomorrow, 5 week from now, or 1 year from now. Doesn't matter.
What I'm doing: I keep my CRO staked in a pool of my choice and every week I claim the rawards to the stake (like you mentioned for compound interest). I also put my cashback, rebates and such into the same pool.

Can your money be stolen after you stake it by the validator?
Reddit says:
No a validator can not steal your money. If something happens, i.e. they shutdown, you won't be getting the interest, in that case you can move to another validator. So it's important to stake with a reputed validator.
There are few validators who wouldn't take fees to increase the number of people stake. They later increase the fees. Always look at the highest % they can increase to. Some of those are at 100%.
You don't receive any interest during 28 days unbonding period.
CRO unbonding period in DeFi is 28 days
5000 CRO --> now 500 CRO to stake in Earn in the APP. Still better rewards on the DEFI these days.

Second question the price of crow fluctuates in price so when staking 40k at x amount but price of v meaning crow drops in price do u need to fill bag to continue to have a 40k dollar amount stakes? Good questions and answers are yes you need to continue to stake to keep the rewards. If you unstake you will lose rewards and the percentage back is greatly reduced. Then if the price of CRO drops you do NOT need to add more. Once you're locked in you are good to go! 🙂

Third question. Is there a holding period in the defi wallet before being able to bridge? I have funds in my defi wallet but shows zero when trying to do the bridge to complete to select delegator.
So when you claim to wallet what wallet does it go to? The DeFi wallet or your cdc wallet

What would be a smart amount to stake of your portfolio? Let's pretend I have $5,000 in CRO and $3,000 in MANA. How much of that do people stake? Let's also assume you don't need the money anytime soon. Is it smart to stake all of it? 75% of it? 50%? Etc. Thank you
I did. What I did was I took my CRO and staked it in the crypto.com app (not defi wallet) to get the crypto.com Jade Green card. You then earn 10% on that stake + you now get a card that gives you 3% back on all purchases + 100% reimbursement for Netflix. I find this situation a bit of inconvenience because I have to load money into the debit card in order to use it. I plan on putting a little every week for security purposes. But what if I wanted something NOW that is a big purchase, have to wait 4 days to put extra funds and hope it isn't something of an emergency

So you earn 11.34 percent per year on your stake. But you pay 10 percent commission. So really you make 1.34 percent in a year.

No there's a particular section in the CDC centralized app that you hit to get the card. Only on the centralized app tho
Why would you go with Ascension when it charges a 10% commission?
He said he was just testing Staking out. He's not recommending that validator in particular.

UNclear on the 28-day unbonding period. You said you can unstake after the 28 days--I think that is not correct. Or is it that after you unstake, you then have to wait 28-days for unbonding?
When I did it I selected "unstake" and from that point the unbonding period kicked in so I had to wait 28 days to actually have access to my CRO again.
When you stake your cro it takes 28 days to get it back when ever you unstake it ?

It means after you confirm to unstake you then have to wait another 28 days before you have access to that CRO again.
What does everything think of the super charger in the cypto app? I put some Cro in the last Eth one rewards are so low. Is it worth a small holder to do that?
You're getting free money for staking CRO that would otherwise be sitting idle in your wallet.

@@chrisj5936 I've done both and I prefer the supercharger feature as you can unstake anytime and have access to that CRO immediately if you need. There are also no fees to stake in supercharger and the APY is pretty good (beats current APY yield staking CRO on the DeFI app).
I don’t think the supercharger is worth it. You are better off staking Cro separately. I was disappointed after the ETH event as well 😅
It would be good if ya said anything about O-MEE. At least, tell us the pros and cons! But imho it is the real brilliant in the pile of shit marketplaces.
Staking cro is ok cause the fees are cheap. Any erc20 token it’s like $200+ in fees

If you stake in the DeFi Wallet does that still count towards staking for purposes of the debit card?
no. Those two apps are not connected but when you're done staking in defi you could always send the profits to the crypto.com app and then stake I suppose

No, it's free. Though depending on the card you want you need to hold a specific amount of cro

Yes
Also make sure to transfer regular CRO and and not on the cronos network. I had CRO on the defi wallet via cronos and could not use it, I had to transfer from the regular app to the defi wallet just plain old CRO or you will need to convert your cronos CRO to plain old CRO within the defi wallet

I’ve been trying to stake VVS using mines with the DeFi wallet but when I hit enable it doesn’t do anything
Has to be on Cronos Blockchain ..
And make sure you have some cro In your wallet for the fees.

The minimum to stake CRO on the centralized exchange is 500 CRO. You are putting out bad information my brother……
At the time of me making this video it was 5k. They actually just recently changed it 👍
