Ì remember when ì was a child ( ab 6:08 out 75 years ago)my parents spoke about a film called Samon and delilah.and my father used to laugh at my mother who cried when somson destroyed the columns and died himself.

Hi Mark, I new about the story of Samson and Dalhia in the bible, but did’ know we use it as the idiom, explaining a situation in Israel or elsewhere.
AM i the only one that is pissed at this... this doesnt irritate anyone. I'm reading the comments and people dont give a sh*t.... who gave isreal the right to take destructive action against everyone if they happen to loose a conflict. wtf!!
Some say it’s a bluff which disturbs me even more what kind of a bluff is that while also officially denying you have nukes. The things Israel is getting away with now and for some time with Palestinians makes me wonder if they are actually arrogant and psychotic enough to pull the trigger. They are cowards so I wouldn’t put it past them.
It's not just Israel, it's really any country with nukes. Samson option is just what Israel calls it.
Russia, China, North Korea, India, Pakistan, Israel, US, and soon Iran would all use nukes if they were on the brink of destruction to ensure their survival. It's not really unique to Israel, they just managed to get nukes before anyone else in that region was able to before the world started trying to stop nuclear proliferation.

Revenge for what???
Sounds to me like Samson is filled with the unholy spirit of anger, violence, destruction, revenge and hate for how his dad destroyed his marriage by giving his wife away to another man. But instead of dealing with those emotions in a productive manner, Samson decides it’s his duty to use the gift that his god gave him, along with his bruised egos, for “revenge” against the Philistines.
