@@MitchGrooms My 1st FB (also my 1st car and only other FB) was a 78 V6 231 olds with only 105HP! So no, yours is not slow at all by comparison! LOL Exactly 20 years after selling it, I got my 2nd and current FB/TA. I've seen your videos for years now, from the start, going back to the 1st Patina. Your videos inspire me to 'possibly' keep me from painting it. Although the interior has been all refreshed (that was easy to do, so I did it myself) and almost everything mechanically that can be done was done (almost done) by a few shops. I think it was on Facebook where I asked if I saw you at the airport. I thought you and I were both flying to Savannah from California. I'll post more videos once my car passes smog. To do that I want to find a shop that really knows what they are doing (the 3 shops were real bad, I almost cry when I think of it, after spending about $20K on all new parts including LS3 engine and Trans from Summit). Chip Foose will be at a local Cars & Coffee show this weekend signing stuff so I plan to ask him :)

You know the only thing that bugged me about the 1981 model year was that the rear decal "TransAm" is smaller than the previous years were. I have an 81 so it brings me to tears knowing that to stay true to the build, I'll have to get the smaller decals over the bigger ones.

Correct. The Turbo did have smaller letters.

I felt Pontiac did a good job on the 301.Yeah, 301 could have been design so the Pontiac 350/400 intake could have been used.If Pontiac would have spent more time like Buick did with the 3.8 twerking. Things would have be different for the 301turbo. Maybe instead of the Buick Grand National we would have had a super fast Pontiac G body car. I had a 73' Trans Am 400 run good at 230hp. The 301 turbo had 200 hp about not bad for 99 cubic inch less. Hope you keep the car.

Gorgeous Turbo Trans Am. What tire size are you running? I can tell those are the more desirable 15x8 Turbo wheels too. Keep up the good work.

I always think about that 1980 you had a decade ago. Man, it breaks my heart to know what those animals did to a true survivor car. 💔

It almost killed me when that took place. Just last year, I can watch the old vids of it. You know I found it being sold for parts on CL right? Detectives would not arrest the hood rat because they said the hood rat would say he got it from someone else. The detectives even went further and purchased the T-tops, back bumper and rear trunk from said HOOD RAT. I got those back from the police and I had full coverage so insurance paid me very well, they paid me $16,500..
