Hi! I live in Östersund in the middle of Sweden (Jämtland). I'm happy to see you found your way to Bornholm. I've been there a bunch of times. Probably my favourite place on earth! Really beautiful nature and very family friendly. I hope you got to visit Joboland, a great place for the children. Tip: There's a film that is set on Bornholm called "Pelle the Conqueror". It won an Oscar in 1989 and it is really good, you should check it out sometime! Happy travelling, I love following your adventures! 😊
our 1st two campers were converted school bus's they were so roomy I missed them when we got our reg camper My niece had the best time being a school bus driver for play Good luck
I'm curious... how did they bring there bus in Europe? by boat?!?!?! Wilfie is the perfect example that, when you speak "normally" to a baby, it learns to speak well early in life!!! 👌💖 Lovvvved it! 🥰😘💕
Yeah, most harbours have facilities for use. Some free, others you have to pay for. I guess you will find free Wi-Fi there. There will often be machines for washing laundry. They are usually monetized, the energy has to be paid, and it is not cheap in DK. Sometimes there is a complete kitchen to use for free, It is basically for guests sailing, but if no one is there, you can use it too. After all, most of them are public funded or supported.
@@livingthelifeportugal Very much, im in the mid 40's now and still hold that trip dear in my heart. Im a typical Dane (from Jutland) and that school trip has been my only visit to Bornholm, like it has been for a majority of Danes through the years. The official Danish "Sunshine Island". Im happy you enjoy our small country and i hope you will return in the future to experience even more here 🙏🇩🇰
@@livingthelifeportugal If you come here to Denmark again. Go into any shop and buy Marinerede Sild (Marinated Heerings), it has to be the Danish one, and it has to be the white ones, not German or from other places either, Danish only. The marinade is a little sweet and with spices. Even kids like it. I love it, and it was one of my favourite as a kid. I am pretty sure you will like it too. There are many ways to eat it. But a little fresh onion, on it is a must. Can be eaten with curry salad on, and a boiled egg. All on a piece of ryebread. Yes, it is fork and knife food.
@Gert-DK we don't really like fish so will probably give it a miss. English fish and chips is probably the only fish we eat but maybe once every few years 😅
What a nice video from the beautiful Bornholm. You’re looking so chill and seems to like Danish hygge 🤗🇩🇰
Thanks! We have had a great time in Denmark and are looking forward to coming back!

Denmark is just brilliant for stuff like this!
In my youth it was "mandatory" for schools to take 6th or 7th grade students to Bornholm for a week.
That's probably one of the coolest mandatory school requirements ever! Classic Denmark 🇩🇰❤️

@jimmywayne983 you should go again it's really cheap to get the bus there! Yes the bus goes on the ferry 😁
Did you get to taste smoked bornholmers? Those are smoked herring. Which Bornhom is famous for.
No we didn't. We don't really eat fish... Lawrie and Wilfred have never eaten it either 😅

@@livingthelifeportugal I assure you, it does not have a "fish taste", the marinade makes sure of that.
@Gert-DK yeah maybe..... But we can't promise anything 😅😂
🥰😘
Bornholm is very different from the rest of the country.
Where's a nice warm sauna when you need it.
