There’s an area behind the engine stand outside where u can upgrade parts and it gives u more hp for the performance parts, just a tip
It’s inside the little container outside
If you go to the back of the workshop between paint booth and workshop there's a container in there is a table and you can upgrade the parts to make even MOH POWAH it uses the blue currency thing i think

You actually can edit modded cars since they all have config files. They also have a parts file that allows you to edit prices on parts and get infinite money or infinite scrap since it's dependent on value.

automation suggestion, make a car with the merlin engine used in spitfires if it is remotely possible to make a 27 litre v12
So essentially you go into the car file, copy the body config and config files and make them the next number in order, then open them both and change the name to whatever you want the car model to be called, save and close them both. You then launch the car editor, pull up the car you edited the files for, and you should be able to pull up the trim you created (it will look like whichever config/bodyconfig files you copied, then you just replace the motor with the one you want, and add any parts you want, change body parts to make the trim unique, and then you should be able to find it in the game! Should work without issue to drop in the diesel i4 to whatever vehicle. You can also edit the parameter “torquemod” in the config file you copied to make that trim have more or less of a modifier on the engine hp and torque
You know if you go out the back and into the shipping container you can make parts even stronger & more powerful basically forging it
