How I would like to imagine the tinker. Melee DPS, Tank, and Ranged DPS. Melee DPS - You hit people with your Screwdriver. Essentially they would use 2h maces, but ofc class skins would be very oriented around mechanical themes. The one unifying class identity would be around summoning "Turret-like" mechanical contraptions. Kinda like old school totems, but I would almost want them to be more interactible. Maybe as a melee DPS you have abilities where there is an added effect if you HIT your turret with your 2h mace (Which should be some kind of Wrench or Mallet), and send it into overdrive. In general rotation I would love to see it basically be like an old school 2h Shaman almost, you hit stuff and add some lightning damage to your swings from your electric contraptions. For a Tank you would summon a suit that you step into as your big Defensive Cooldowns. You could probably design something like an overdrive, and as a melee DPS you get it by hitting your turret. As a tank you would gain it by absorbing damage. I kinda imagine that most of your abilities and cooldowns is just you summoning a bunch of junk armor that gets torn away until you summon your big Mech as your ace overdrive. And ranged DPS would be something akin to another specc that can use guns and crossbows (Maybe bows for some Rambo trick arrow shenanigans) - your turret would basically support and compliment your DPS - I would love to fit in a Support DPS specc where you not only shoot your gun, but you toss these strange contraptions to your allies to enhance their abilities. And instead of boring percentile increases it could literally be "Your auto attacks now deal additional fire damage to enemies around you" or "You now have a stink bomb hat that deals poison damage" I'm thinking just thematically it has to feel very gnomish and gobliny in the way things work. And Goblins to me are very much like 40k Orks where they put stuff together and it inevitably explodes in hilarious fashion. I would even want things like cartoony "Boom" signs as a visual effect. Make no mistakes - this is a silly class and should be treated as such.
It's all the same in all the fantasies, Tank summons a suit or controls the suit! That is a awesome fantasy and everything looks like the tinker is getting real to be honest. I would say I changed my expectation from the Bard to the Tinker because that could be the next plausible step.. They introduced the Tank spec for Brann in Delves with a one handed Pistol, maybe that could also be a hint for the Tinker?..
Necromancer too close to Warlock? Sure, if you're not creative; I came up with ideas years and years ago that would be unique. First, for the DPS spec, your resource are the undead minions you summon. You have a total amount of resources you can use, and each one will require a different amount to summon. When one of them is killed or destroyed, the resources are given back to you, and summoning new minions beyond this limit will destroy your oldest minion(s) to summon the new ones. TLDR: most of your action bar is replaced with the minion's abilities, which you yourself have to press to cause them to attack. They don't just use them on their own, so your time is spent managing them and forcing the minions to do damage for you. Think of how swapping weapons works in Guild Wars 2. You also have the ability to blow your minions up for AoE damage and is part of your AoE rotation. It's a bit closer to playing an RTS as you have to manage these units. We could have a tank spec called the Soul Binder. You bind your soul to one giant abomination who stays by your side and can pull an enemy in. You share a health bar but the minion has higher defenses from your caster stats, so is essentially scaled by a percentage. All threat you do is redirected to your abomination and if the enemy is at range you deal damage using spells. This solves the problem of both positioning and healing, allowing for both the first legit pet tanking class and the first ranged caster tank. In PvP you would just focus the caster over the pet which is a weakness, but what offsets this is while you are CC'd you can still give the abomination commands. The healing spec is the Soul Reaper, which is a parallel of what current disc is, where it heals mostly via dealing damage. The idea predates the disc change and I didn't plan it, but it's nice that they have the opposite niche. By default, the Soul Reaper's damage over time spells will heal the party evenly and you can cast a spell on an ally or yourself to redirect more healing to them specifically. This spec also has a zero CD ability where you can sacrifice your own health to heal an ally for a nice amount. Using this spell will cause you to regenerate health over six seconds in addition to the healing from your spells. This is a unique mechanic in which you are trying to even out the health of other players, and requires a few passives to make function in PvP (otherwise a Rogue could just stun you and you're dead), but that is already enough info to give you the gist. And just like that, we have three extremely unique specs that don't really work like anything else. I have ideas for Tinker, Chronomancer (bronze flight), Dragonsworn (red flight), Dreamwalker (green flight), Shadow Hunter, etc. that I've sat on for years. You might as well tell me you can't have Paladins because there is too much overlap between Priest and Warrior. All it requires is unique mechanics.
Yep I like the action bar swap which saves you the button bloat of all in one bar! Could be a option and possibility, I hope for you that they introduce that in the next years too. Me personally I like the Soul Reaper spec fantasy, would be amazing :D
new subclasses it`s fair point for example Death Knight - can be rune master with cosmic energy - to have many possible runes with active and passive effects to engrave not only weapon but also and equipment - new Hero talents tree can be about "Runecarver" like a "Primus" (Pantheon of Death) and for each class can be many good ideas
Tinker would be so cool, could have a cold war style arms race sub plot between Goblin and Gnome technology to defeat the big evil of the expansion. Tank spec big bulky mecha suit with melee, ranged DPS a different mecha suit with guns and stuff.
I would say the probability for that is now higher since they introduced Brann's Tank spec with a 1-H Pistol and shield! That could be a tinkers weapon!!
I wish to have one Mechanic class where subclases focus on different things: let's say "Artificer" focused on tech equipment (infusions similar like engraving) - like jetpack, speed boots, energy shields, heat vision, shok gauntlets, tesla-coil, chain saw (ironman \ space-marine) another one let`s say "Tinker" will be like pilot of a big mech and control fly drones (hulkbuster\warhammer dreadnought\ armoured core) and last but not least "Gunner" will be focused on tech weapons and different ammunition types (minigun\shotgun ailgun\double revolver) ammunition type can be like fire - explosion effect \ frost - freeze effect\ lightning - penetration effect ...
If bard, Musical instruments+ rapier ( we have short swords, but I mean rapier like in DnD, IF Tinker, big as blunderbuss, helf like in GW2, turrets, stat stick/ equipment slot Tinker backpack, which would explain why thery can " summon" turrets and repair stuff aon the fly and pop out healing packs etc. For tinker, just copy paste the Engineer from Guild Wars 2
Evokers should get a dragon lancer spec with polearms Rogues should finally get their first ranged spec called something like ranger but in a hood and leather like robin hood Give monks a ranged intel/phys build with chi blasts like a mage
Are they the people who created the false questionaire or "market research" Germans-.. and they feel like they are new on the ball to create fake rumours

Should have illusionist like in GW 2 the mesmer.
wow already stole so much from gw2, they probably are done stealing from that game.
@@justryanism Technically it was already in wacraft 3, the blademaster.
Illusionist was my favourite in GW2, that would be sick!!
I cross my fingers for bards as support class/dps/healer. Though tinkerer would be fine too i guess (maybe a FUN tank class)
I think Tank and Healer is needed and they will address that..
So probably both of them would have a Tank and Heal spec im afraid!

As if we didnt copy enough of GW2 xD
But yea instruments are needed then with the bard
GIVE ME BATTLE MAGE DANGIT
Battle Mage is a nice concept, but unlikely :(
Tinker
Could suit actually yep
Evokers should get a dragon lancer spec with polearms
Rogues should finally get their first ranged spec called something like ranger but in a hood and leather like robin hood
Give monks a ranged intel/phys build with chi blasts like a mage
You are the ones who "asked" not blizzard, fakes.
you're funny🤣
xD We were not the guys behind the poll xD
Are they the people who created the false questionaire or "market research"
Germans-.. and they feel like they are new on the ball to create fake rumours
no we are not the creator of the market research xD
