Nice. Was speaking to someone from Markham. I asked which areas outside Toronto City but within GTA is generally cheaper for rental. Answer I got was "Everywhere in GTA is expensive. :)" I am assessing Toronto vs Halifax to land in Canada
I was looking this apartment at condos.ca You can filter location and $. Toronto is good for money and entertainment. Halifax more for peaceful family life.

$2400 a month for now because they can increase the rent as much as they want yearly. Also you probably pay between $500-$800 monthly for condo fees. You can mortgage a nice house for $3000 a month if you put $100,000 down.

Nice job place, but people who are moving to Toronto watching this must remember that this is considered low rent for this size, and there is no rent control for condos.
