That Big Boy menu is amazing.
Fun fact: According to Wikipedia, the Elias Brothers (from Detroit) were the first people to formally license the Big Boy name and concept from founder Bob Wian, launching their first restaurant in 1952. Eventually, they operated more than 100 Elias Brothers Big Boys in Michigan, Ohio and Ontario, Canada. So that might give the piece a little more historical gravitas, and potential value.

Those magazines are in great shape! That's something I always look for, as well as catalogues and some sheet music. I think those 'sneak peek' windows were popular before people discovered installing intercoms between rooms. I live in a Cape Cod so if you shout for someone they can hear you. This bigger spread out homes needed a relay system! Have been hearing about you from most of my other fave reselling channels so I'll be checking our yours on this nice sunny snow day. EXCELLENT haul!

I bought a book for a quarter because the Art Deco and Art Nouveau pics were cool. It was a book from a printing company in Cincinnati. The only one I found had sold at Swan Gallery in New York & sold for $2800.00. It’s a process getting your item accepted, but they list it in the best auction for your item. It made me pay attention at estate sales to stuff like that.

I was best friends with Candy Elias, daughter of big boy owner in MI. I still have an anniversary Big Boy zippo lighter but didn’t keep any of the other stuff. I dabble in collecting Coleman Lanterns and one of the things collectors love to do is try and find one made the month they were born. I think that this will transfer into other things . For example that catalogue (Shooters Bible) you show is 1965. What great year to be born! :) Also like model rocketry and that old century catalogue is awesome.

We found a fabulous place on the Maryland Eastern Shore that had HUGE bins full of restaurant ware and antique vintage china outside in the the back lot...yes, crude hand made wooden BINS! and the stuff was all kind of dumped in these bins almost like they had washed up on the shore. Got some amazing treasures there but honestly had to turn my back and walk away because I felt so shaky. LOL...I did keep the address though 😉

I buy a lot of vintage power tools because they had metal aluminum cases. In fact I have purchased nearly Mint ones in mint metal cases for less than $40 shipped. I polish them up to give them Bling Bling shine and display them on a shelf in my basement. Love the old Craftsman brands. That Black and Deck Metal case is really hard to find in mint condition. They never came with a box after a certain year. Any old catalog that showcases any sort of information or pictures is great believe it or not it's starting to get hard to find reference photos to older items.

Love your vids. Great score with the train catalogs. Did you comp the art paints in a box that were in the same room as your train catalogs? Good money on paint sets even used. 😀
