Wow, quite some timing right here: I am looking to get into AoS and just picked up the Skaven battletome. After my first readthrough and without knowing the baserules, Skryre seems very fun!
Perfect timing as I planned to finally build and paint my skaven army and going Skryre led. Great think with new Tome is that you can throw in some clanrats as a blocking unit as well.
Given how clans skryre changed, I'd say get some clan rats before getting some acolytes.
Wild that you suggest starting with 20 skrive acolytes since they are sold separately as a single miniature

I like the Skryre, but I hate that a lot of models are old and only web exclusive
Look up Mantic Games Veer-Myn; it's sci-fi Skaven, perfect for Skryre.

The new tome is great, I hated how restrictive playing different clans was in 2nd, I love the new hero-based system
List looks great! Just stay away from the Doomwheel! Your opponent can end up controlling it.
