Love it. Exact canopy I’m ordering. I watched the video to see how you think about it. Only difference is I want the 1200 canopy. But having that space at the back is perfect for my tools for work but the idea of putting a. Chopping board in the recess of the sides is perfect. Cheers
I reckon you nailed it mate. 1000mm canopy is the perfect size. My ideal setup would be the 1000mm canopy with chassis extension and a longer tray to be able to still have some reasonable tray space to use the Ute as a Ute e.g. throw a few bales of hay on the back or a motorbike etc. I’ve got a new ranger arriving and still unsure of mits but keen to see the storage on these drawers and undertray toolboxes if you do another one 👍
Everyone get's a ute and goes camping and it goes well off road. Then they get a big canopy so they can set up nice for camping. Then they realise how much worse it handles off road and spend the next 10 years trying to minimise their set up while still having a comfy set up lol p.s. just got the same fridge after the old top loader shat itself. Best thing I ever did. No more pulling my shoulder out and kids can reach their own stuff when helping. I usually put a few cold bricks in to fill it out and helps keep the cold in when opening door often. ( when not fully loaded) Edit: Not shitting on canopies. I like the smaller one you've gone with as a balance between both compromises.
Looks the goods mate the shorter canopy is a winner. Less space means u take less shit which u mentioned. The goods man keen to hear ya thoughts after u wheel it a few times
Great to see ya back Az! Love your YT clips. I learn heaps. Interested to know what wheels you got? Steel or Alloy and which ones? I've got a 2019 Ranger and similar setup to you but I have a full size Norweld canopy with Bundutop RTT which is pretty cool but the downside is probably can't do real tough tracks due to being a tad top heavy but interested to know about your wheels etc
Hey mate nice rig , with the rear ladder bar you have put an extrusion bar on top , how did you fix it to the bar and is that something mits alloy supply ?
Thanks Andy!!! Yes we put a multi rack bar on it to be able to mount the awning bracket to the ladder rack, we just nutsert and bolted it on mate…. The boys would be able to do it for you
Thanks George I’m loving it!!! I have had a RTT in the past, and personally not a huge fan of them… I have been using a darche ridgeback RTT on our work car and I think it’s one of the best looking on the market, but the biggest down fall of it is it it extremely hard to close when you have a sleeping bag and pillow inside and the canvas usually hangs out and doesn’t seal 100%… I prefer to run a swag as I like being closer to the ground and they are warmer in winter and more comfortable when on a stretcher
@@AzventuresAustralia I am planning to change my set up to tray and Removable canopy because I go camping ones a month and keep carrying all gear around and will add RRT
Did you pay for that canopy? Changing just cause is unrealistic for the average person. Perks of the job hey. I'd love to see that setup work for 2 people on a big multiple weeks trip. I don't see the point of such a tiny setup. Each to their own.
Hey krump, I did pay for this one mate, I did sell my old setup to fund this build With the trips I do and where I go this setup will work perfectly for myself and Misso, I do more weekend trips than anything and longest trips out of it would be a week… as long as you’re not doing remote trips with now town access this would be perfect I could make this work for longer trips if I’m by myself living out of it as I have a lot of in car storage with not having back seats
Thanks for the support you bunch of legends 👊🏻🤘 this is pumping me up to make more content

My Build is all paid for Azza 👌 just gotta wait till Aug now 🤣
Hey looks good 👍 do you have a tune on your ranger? Have you "optimised" the egr to stop the soot going back into the engine?
Very nice mate. Did you end up getting a total weight for the whole rig? And an estimate on the total weight saved?
looks nice mate
Hi buddy i heard you are saving weight but have you thought of going rtt instead of swag
Hey buddy could u pls let me know what bullbar is in the blue Holden Colorado I saw it in one of ur previous videos
He’s back. Speaking of backs, how’s yours after driving the mits 79 😂
🤣🤣🤣 yeah was starting to get a tad sore after near 3 weeks in that brick…. Keen to pump out more content for everyone 🤘🤘

What do u do for a living?
Where do you store a table for cooking? Or do you use the trundle for that?
I have a table that slides into my roof rack 👌 comes from front runner outfitters
