I spent several months studying microphones and listening to what they picked up and how my voice sounded, learned a lot and returned many before I picked the mic I have and I still love it. I personally don't really believe there is is an ideal voice standard and it's a preference. I have unusually good hearing and can hear things most people don't so it's a challenge at times to sort through all the ambient noises. It's a gift and a pain at times. I'm not hard of hearing, i just hear so much more.
Thank you for this! I already have the Rode Videomic NTG. I bought it for its versatility, which I just remembered now, but for some reason I still wanted to buy a lavalier mic. I'll definitely stick with my NTG.
Excellent advice! 🏆 Except the only mic i have is inside a HP laptop from 2013 I actually use the mic in my iPhone 8 Then email to myself Then import into Audacity But i had to install some FFmod file to a library in order for Audacity to be able to process the .m4a files created by the Voice Memo app
