@@MattCookOregon what million percent?😂 I think I should've grown a lot more than I have🙄 I need to be more consistent with my uploads! My biggest challenge! When you network with people you get back the love💖
I am just afraid of advertising cause I dont want to spam people haha. Facebook is pretty huge. All the other social media really is a good opportunity. You are going live?! Like a workout? That is a great way to speak with the audience.
These waterfalls are all very beautiful. Sick in bed with the flu currently, so I really needed this video to see something beautiful. Thankyou so much for helping to clear my mind.
This is awesome! I haven't spent any time exploring the backcountry along 138 but even just on through trips I've been blown away by how beautiful that area is. I've only ever been to Tokatee Falls, which is an unquestionably unique and spectacular site, but I think in this video I found #1 Shadow Falls and #2 Wolf Creek Falls the most compelling. I'll be coming back to reference this video whenever I finally manage to plan a trip exploring that area. Looked like a great day. Superbly documented. Thanks for bringing us along!
Nice man! Thanks so much. I say just stay off the highway and enjoy all the gravel roads. There is even one road from here that goes to bohemia mountain, steamboat, goood stuff. I had some softroad style fun on the way in. I drove up gravel roads around 10 pm and slept in the subaru near shadow falls. Opened the sunroof for stars and took some photos. Ok maybe it wasn't a badass softroad adventure, but I was in the woods, on gravel, in a subaru!
@@MattCookOregon Well for me it's all about getting out to explore and take in the beauty of the wilderness via unpaved routes...sounds like exactly what you were doing! I'll have to take a closer look at finding the route from Bohemia to 138 - that sounds pretty intriguing!
Thumbs Up! 5:30am nice job. Some really nice shots. I like the water shot with the go pro coming out of the water to see the falls. I like the map and editing. Having waterfalls all to yourself that's the best. Where did you get your music? Wow Watson falls is a big one. Thanks for getting soaked. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks a bunch man. I highly recommend adding some underwater gopro when you can. Gives you a whole other dimension that most videos don't explore. I have been mostly using video game music in all my videos. It is all copy write free and stuff I grew up with. This video was all from the London Symphony Orchestra doing their version of Final Fantasy songs.
Gorgeous photos & video! Awesome you had such a pretty day. We just did the last four of these last week and had rain. Enough rain to not do the full hike to Watson - we were already wet! Clearwater was our favorite just for the clarity and the green “fairyland” below the falls.
Two weeks ago I was traveling thru Colorado, and could believe the waterfalls there along the Million Dollar highway. Just incredible. Cheers from Florida. PS: keep working on getting those 13 toes. LOL
Hey matt. Thanks for sharing your video. Umpqua waterfalls are on my list to visit near future. It was nice to meet you and your family at blue pool on sunny weekend. Subscribed and like ^^
Yeah always cool to see a fellow video maker. That blue pool sure was crowded. I will make a video on it some time about how dangerous it is. Apparently many people have died there.
A wonderful video. So many beautiful waterfalls to see in one day. It would be great to do some aerial photography around some of them, if allowed and if not too many people around. Thank you for sharing.
Thanks! Droning would make for great footage. I tried at the first waterfall and crashed, because no gps signal the drone was in ATTI mode, you ever deal with that? I decided to leave drone in the car after that cause it would have taken up too much time.
@@MattCookOregon Most of the time I get pretty good GPS. I imagine the trees and if say close to a rock face could be shielding views of the satellites. Certainly trickier flying without GPS.
Liked it ? I didn't like it I loved it so epic!!!! A waterfall that makes a great swimming spot is awesome and the water looks so beautiful and clear 👍😍👍
Hey you found the love button, nice! You were also at the photo editing live stream, so you had a part in the making of this video. Couldn't do it without ya. Thanks Pam.
Thank you Matt, this is my backyard. The most beautiful place I have ever lived. And you can open carry. This vlog is an xcellent idea for local tourism. Susan creek has a really clean and neat campground with reservations fly fishing only. Hiking, fishing, rafting. Tokatee is amazing in the winter. The campgrounds are all mostly improved with very clean and new bathrooms. Some with showers. Jeff theBurg.
Haven't heard from ya in awhile but I guess thats my fault for not uploading! I really appreciate that. Susan creek was on the list but I ran outa time haha. Yeah this is a great area that I only scratched the surface of. Many more opportunities here. I just camped at the Shadow falls trailhead and didn't see a soul there. Maybe you can show me a good spot to float or something later on. Peace.
Ah, I’ve soooo been wanting to drive out to that area! You hit up a lot of waterfalls that I hadn’t heard of. Such pretty scenery! Btw, I enjoyed your narration. 👌
Thanks. Great to hear. Narration is always the part that makes me most self conscious. I always think I say stupid things, or sound like I am reading a script. Always something to work on!
Hey Matt, I just wanted to mention that there are a few other falls that you were close to that would have been worth the hike, although, I don't know if you could have packed them all in in a day. Between Wolf Creek Falls and Hemlock Falls, there is Grotto Falls. It's about a 2/3 mile trail up to the falls and it's awesome, you can go back behind the falls. When you are at the Lake in the Woods campground, where you went to Hemlock Falls, there is also Clover Falls which is upstream from Hemlock Falls. There are a number of other small falls along the way. Then across the USFS road from the campground is a trail to Yakso Falls which is about a mile and 3/4 out and it is on Little River. Both of those falls are beautiful and I think better than Hemlock. Over past Clearwater Falls, if you go up and turn left to go to Lemolo Lake, once you go over the dam and then turn left and go down the USFS road about a half mile, there is a small bridge over the canal, where you can park on the other side. You can take the trail down to Lemolo Falls, it is about 1 3/4 miles down to those falls. The falls are about 300 feet on the N. Umpqua River.
Thank you. Maybe I should do another video over there, but something different. I still haven't been to Grotto. I had it on the list that day but cut a few out. The Shadow Falls detour really took a lot of time but thats my fav one.
@@MattCookOregon Hey Matt, IMO, Yakso and Clover are better than Hemlock. Ya, Shadow is cool, but kinda out there. If you come back this way let me know and I'll go out with you if you want. I haven't gone down to the bottom of Lemolo Falls. I saw on a map there's a trail down from the south side. I've only been there on the north side a few times, but you're on a very steep canyon wall at top of falls level. It's a big one though with about a 300 foot drop. I hike a lot with my daughter, she's 11 and on the ASD Spectrum, she loves waterfalls. I want to take her to the Silver Falls Loop. Your video is cool. I also want to take her to Gold & Silver Falls down by the Elliot SF.
If the sound is funky, it is because I just randomly got copyright claimed 2 years after uploading. I muted the copyright music parts.
Nice hike and drive. Thanks for the journey.
Thank you!
Pretty scenery all the waterfalls are majestic. Seem getting to these waterfalls are quite challenging.
Thanks Andy! It was a bit tough especially fitting 7 of these in a day.
