All his os tracks sound the same, he's not great with the os soundboard either, all of his tracks follow the same formula and end up bring hard to distinguish from eachother compared to some of the teams older composers that have very recognizable tracks
Really creative of Mod Surma to include the Tale of the Muspah leitmotif at 3:32. We can always trust him to compose a banger. I hope the expansion of Mahjarrat lore surrounding the Stone of Jas and Muspah will eventually lead to a Ritual-like grandmaster quest. Not saying Guthix has to die this time, but let's get some Sliskean fvckery and wacky Prifddinian nonsense.
seems like that's the direction DT2 is gonna go, with the update for this quest they added some new people over by nardah, including someone who's name is an anagram of Wahisietel edit: they also stated that the temple of the eye will play a role in DT2, and that quest did a lot of catching up on the stone of Jas in OS lore
I'm excited to hear the boss themes for DT2, but what I'm really excited for is the music track Surma is inevitably going to do for the Lowerniel Drakan fight in the Myreque finale. I already know he's going to let loose for that one.
The great thing about osrs boss music is that you experience different moments in different time based on how quick you kill the boss. Especially as you progress in gear, the time really starts to change. In other words, it’s a different experience each time. Great stuff.
Man I hope they continue this questline. If they ever get to Ritual of the Mahjarrat, _it'd play out quite a bit differently._ *We're backing a different side.*
Glad to see runescape finally doing covers of Testament songs!! “ Life in a world untold, question the unknown This prison captures me, my cell is all I know I thought I knew it all, stubborn in my ways My sentence has begun, my future's what I waste Next chapter of my life, filled with violent scenes I stay awake at night hiding from my dreams The voices haunting me, driving me insane Can't seem to get away, they're calling out my name I feel I am slipping Are they out to get me? My life is upside down More than meets the eye”

extremely common Julian Surma W
Guranteed drop Julian Surma W
100% a Julian Surma track. He's definitely the go-to guy on the audio team for boss themes, and for good reason.
You should see the stuff he composes for RS3. Crazy.

Lately osrs are composing heavy music. This one is a pretty good banger.
This goes Unreasonably hard
Muspah fight was perfect
If you’re hearing this whole song during the boss fight you’re having a rough time! Great piece of music from the Oldschool Audio Team
Literally listening to this and my first thought after hearing the pitch shift was "I'm so glad I've never heard this"
It was on my 3rd or 4th kill that the song ended right when Muspah died. It was incredible.
@@Electriksodac'mon man, the muspah is fun
I’ve heard it many a time… then followed by flute salad because I forgot a stamina and finding it hard to catch a freeze 😂

@@wynndoughs Yeah, I'm glad that even the song name was a bit cheeky abouy that: More than Meets the [Temple of the] Eye

@@FSAPOJake Im patiently waiting for the Lord of Vampyrium remix
@@BattlzPKMon I frankly hope it's something different. I never was a fan of the Lord of Vampyrum track.

An amazing music track for an amazing boss. Jagex has been knocking it out of the park with the Mahjarrat stuff
This is actually such a banger.

probably because lucien too busy getting wasted in the ardy pub
coming back to this to say, we're getting two quests instead of RoTM!
This goes hard. The music tracks are some of the best content in RS, and I -see- hear Jagex still have people who get it two decades in 😉
Mad hype during the fight with this track
Gosh i love Surma.
Runescape music still fantastic to this day
banger
absolute banger
