Had the same captain 2 years ago flying from ISB to MAN. PIA always has a good vibe compared to other airlines despite the low quality I don't know why.
Skip to 11:02 for the takeoff, thank me later
thanks
Thanks! i subscribed!
CAG2 Sometimes it's nice to see it all. Makes the actual takeoff more exciting once you patiently wait for it.
But the real one is at 12:01
😂😂😂😂
BEST WITH HEADPHONES OMG!!!!
Even better on my surround system - won't go deaf as quickly! LOL
I like during engine start up
But not on full volume
Great country flight Pakistan pia love from dubai Emirates Airline was helped by Pakistan Airline in 1985
food has changed alot. then again it's been 40 years last time . flew Trans Atlantic. Looks good. nice ride
Very beautiful. Never saw a 3 step take off :
1- From 10:40 to 11:14 pushed up the thrust a bit
2- From 11:14 to 11:20 initiating take off thrust
3- 11:20 Take off thrust
However ( correct me if i am mistaking) When took off he didn't reduce the thrust to the cruise level right? Maybe he did it later.
Excellent. Thanks for sharing
***** This is actually standard procedure. At takeoff, usually pilots spool up the engines to 40% of full thrust, before initiating take off thrust. They do this to prevent engine surges, which means (easily put) an engine sucks too much air for the compressor to handle. Engine surges are generally caused by sudden, high increase of thrust demand.
They also do this to stabilize the engines, and prevent slipping sideways when one engine comes up faster than the other.
After takeoff, the power is usually reduced to climb thrust, until the aircraft reaches it's cruising altitude, on which power is reduced to 'cruise' thrust, which the video does not show.
Hope this was somewhat understandable.
imanofficerable Great explanation thank you. I know that pre take off thrust of 40%. I have seen it in many videos. However this pilot as i said did something particular.
If you wish he added a third stage of increasing the power. As i said at 10:40 to 11:14 he increased thrust a bit before his line up with the runway and that was interesting for me.
***** I see what you mean. But this isn't as unusual as you think. Actually, taxiing and especially requires a lot of thrust, because you are moving hundreds of thousands of pounds, and sometimes if the thrust setting is too low, an aircraft might stop in the middle of a turn, which a pilot tends to want to prevent. which is why he readjusts.
In a lot of situation, an aircraft stops on the runway threshold, before taking off, but if you look closely, this was a 'rolling takeoff', meaning the aircraft never fully stopped before takeoff thrust was selected.
There are minor differences in every takeoff, no takeoff is 100% identical to another.
imanofficerable That's interesting what you say about taxing thrust. One thing that i don't know about is about the level of thrust applied to do taxing.
Is there a specific level of thrust to apply when taxing? Is there somewhere marked taxiing thrust on the lever or it depends on the speed the tower authorises the pilot to go?
***** No, not to my knowledge.
It's up to the pilot's discretion and situational awareness.
However, if the thrust levels exceed a certain point, without the flaps being sufficiently deployed, the aircraft will deem that a hazardous situation and alarms will sound.
There is a maximum taxi speed of 20 knots, and I believe 12 knots on turns is advised.
But you can imagine, it requires a lot of thrust to get so many pounds in motion.
Nothing more one can say about Dantorp's productions, except "Thank You!".
l love that gearing/grinding sound @ 11:58.
Very smooth take off by Capt uzair khan.
Legend has it that the plane is still taxiing.
I thought they were taxying to their destination.... LOL
+Festus Utubor damn right
+Festus Utubor We all are.
Lol
Taxiing*
The only thing that could compliment that sound is the subtle curve of the wing tip. Thanks Dan !
there should really be an airline cleanliness rating system on cabin windows, given the large number of videos shot.
More Power! Sounds Great!
That sound is INCREDIBLE!!!
Love 🇵🇰 and love PIA
Wow! That is some raw power! ....and nice display of the airline's cuisine at the end.
One of the best engine roars of the decade!
Im going to pakistan tommorow from manchester airport - islamabad airport, inshallah nothing bad happens...
I think when everything becomes Green, sanitized and renewable in the future, there would be special flights you could take to enjoy these aircraft and listen to the sounds. LOL
That is awesome video, thanks for the upload
The force of the take causes the wings to bend. Wow
Wing flex
oGxPREDATOR Obviously........... . .. what are you 12m
Good airline excellent captains
Nice Engine view!
Nice one 😃 that's a very powerful takeoff
scotrail82 is this takeoff any different from any other? tell me
ylle kalle the temperature, time, sun angle, season, fuel, passenger weight, wind direction, amount of engine thrust and latency choice by the pilot, certain breathing ratios in the cabin that would be different from another day, different food, different runway. P.S it's always nice to keep the videos coming
ylle kalle no takeoff is the same my friend :) there is no real set power, flap, vertical speed for every takeoff. many factors play a part in it. one day you could be in 95% n1 power the next.. lower or higher. factors :)
Nice takeoff 🛫
Listening to this to deal with stress at work
the sound of them engines. absolute bad boy
woah Captain Uzair Khan? same captain flew me from islamabad to manchester!!
Awesome sound and video
Nice video
Nice video you makes
Marvellous roar this GE-90.
Loudest engine roar that I’ve heard was on boeing 777 -200 LR etihad airways. This was like 3-4 years ago
imagine traveling 9 hours in this sound
I would restart the Engines for peace
Have some respect! Pakistani pilots are the best. They trained Emirates pilots. They may have garbage quality but have the finest pilots
Zeeshan Imtiaz you r correct bro .pia was the first airline who started buisness class .
Zeeshan Imtiaz nice
They're good quality, way better than Air Canada and other North American airlines. And also better than many European airlines.
But EMIRATES HAS IMPROVED MORE THAN PIA
PIA is the mother of Emirates
Thanks Dan. You the best.
Zuhaib Shafiq and again thanks for uploading my video
What was the seat number?
Zuhaib Shafiq beautiful!! Just help with something. How do you manage to keep your camera so still. Whatever videos I have made are all shaky.
Shajie Hussain He either has a stand or a camera that has an attachable piece that can stick to the window
Shajie Hussain Nothing just plain hands
that GE90 sound is so great
Wow!! Stunning takeoff!
777-300 has the best!
xboxgamer I think they use the same engines...
CastrejonHDTV Yes and no. The 777-300ER only comes with GE90-115Bs. The 777-200LR can be ordered with either the GE90-115B or GE90-110B engines. The -110b is exactly the same, just derated to 110,000lbs of thrust.
CastrejonHDTV B777-300s use rolls royce engines and their sales were extremely limited after the 300ER was produced.
I like the 777-200LR One
The sound of awesomeness !!!!!!!!!
GE90 is awesome engine.
Absolutely jaw dropping takeoff and sound!!!! SWEET VIDEO!!! BIG LIKE!!!
I think I might have missed the roar. I just heard a nice spool up sound, and as the plane went into TO/GA or whatever they use, it went silent. It's sad that the newer engines on the new big airplanes make very little noise..
Boy those GE90's are special.
Pia best airline with the best food
sounds awsome!
that is so cool, I normally do some plane spotting at Heathrow with friends and get awesome views of aircrafts
EXCELENTE VIDEOS AMIGO, ME GUSTA CUANDO LOS AVIONES DESPEGAN ES UN RUIDO HERMOSO
excelente !!!!
I think for me, the best ever engine start up has to be the Rolls Royce engines. Mainly used by the Tristar and 747-300's. Lovely deep hum
incredible sound! Like!
Awesome video, those GE-90's sure make a fantastic sound. Your was our so close to 30k!!! Liked!
The full power is soooooooooo cool ROAR
Most excellent video as always..I love how all the GE90 class engines have that sweet sound to them.
compteck7 Tell Zuhaib Shafiq thank you very much
Porn to my ears.
Love seeing those massive 777/2- and 300's taking off at schiphol, i'm blessed to live so close to the Airport, sitting in my garden watching their approach.
Lately schiphol has some nice airliners flying Schiphol.
A few weeks ago i saw the first ever American Airlines since the merger (757) from Philly @ EHAM, and yesterday a Delta 747, not that Delta is special, but their 747 is, usually they fly 767's and A330's from EHAM.
VeniVidiAjax I see Q400’s in my city everytime
MashaAllah thank you. I love PIA
Loved the sounds at 1:21!
Awesome sound, love the GE90's!!!!!!!
That apology for the delay tho :D **in every fricking flight of PIA**
We fly Emirates all over the World - love the 777-300 but you have to go on a A380-800 just an amazing aircraft
Great video. Lovely airliner and that food, yummy Thanks for the experience.
The howl of the GE90 almost sounds like an alarm siren or something.
sounds beautiful.
Have Some Respect Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) Is The Mother Of Emirates
best take off video.
Wow! What a climb out! In the clouds in nothing flat. I've wondered Dantorp Aviation if the ability for these planes to get away from the airport faster helps the controllers. I'm guessing they get to altitude much quicker than older aircraft. At any rate another great video by the "Maestro" of flight takeoffs and landings!
absolutely Good .. PIA
They may make lousy locomotives but they make great aero engines.
That's a heck of a long taxiway. omg …
+PurerSpielSpass it's illama iqbal airport in lahore
Manchester has two runway directions-south-west and north-east. When the wind comes from the west or south they takeoff to the south-west, when the wind comes from the north or the east the direction is reversed. This is the north-east takeoff
great video. Ge90 what a sound
very nice food recipe.
DUDE THE GE90 SPOOLUP
Absolutely fantastic Video. I love it.
Subscribed.
Do long haul flights all the time
Goo Capturing ,,Thankkksss to showww
oh my god.. music to my ears ..
Cool
Sadly im a Fearful Flyer😪
Haven't flown for a Decade i never fly
Nice video... Love it
Nice Video
11:15 is when the show starts. All taxi up until then.
Why did you choose to take PIA on a flight from the UK to the US?
lovly sound.
Thank goodness 🙏Captain ✌️
WOW
AWESOME!!
Nice video mate!!
i dont think you need a license for aviation videos. lol. last i checked. ive done a few and they're still there!
best air line pia
i think that you set on plane first time
Beast of an Engine: GE type? Rolls Royce?
Also, Oldham Athletic football club @ 14:18~
GE90-115B
This is cool are we sure its a 115b? anyway I was on a emirates 777 300ER we know it is equipped with the 115 B I made sure I was seated near the engine I wanted to hear it and sure I did however my abiding memory is how noisy the 777 was maybe all Boeing planes are loud inside I been on 737s and 777s a lot still even an A319 was quieter as is the A330 and supposedly the A340 boasts the quietest cabin of any commercial airliner including the 388 I traveled from Sydney to Dubai on the A380 I think long rage planes should be as quiet inside as possible I would pay more if it used more fuel for sound deadening! would you? I love the sound of a screaming turbofan at full tilt but after 10 hours time for some quiet
i don,t like to fly but love to play FSX
Good Fly Emirates. Good Ringway.
Terrific!!
Love the video
Was there a continuing flight?
all passengers on board this flight please make it one way
lol
Awesome sound Dantorp! really enjoyed the video! :D
Wow what a 6 hr 40min flight and I never flew with PIA and also what the Runway used
27L
Amazing!
First 200LR was delivered to PIA.
Nonstop dan did you record this video?
