I remember when I was a kid, I somehow got enough bolts for the ryno not by doing the bolt glitch, but somehow by combining two different saves and I started playing one day with over 150k bolts.
Everytime I decide to relive my childhood I end up here. Although actually gathering the bolts yourself has its prestige, It is far too tedious for me to do nowadays. I just wanna repeat the fun stuff, not the grind. So thank you for uploading this, I never remember where to glitch through, so it is a wonderful thing to simply be able to remind myself through your video. Thanks man! :)
old comment but still, thats nothing to be a ashmed off the grind in the first game in particular is very rough compared to the later titles if for no other reason then the lack of a decent way to make bolts like an gladiator challenges or other minigames which allow you to make extra cash on the side
Hey guys, just a heads up: I left the racetrack once or twice because I couldn't spend all of that time with the system on, and when I came back, the boxes had disappeared. This works with any boxes on the track, but they won't regenerate unless your camera can't see them. So you can approach one of the other clusters of boxes, rotate your line of vision away from the boxes, and use the taunter like with these boxes, and it still works like a charm!
Any who also had the issue of ending up in a different area, KEEP TRYING! I got that different area with the grey floor about 6 times, but then I tried to place my decoys exactly where he did and I ended up in the video spot.
Yeah he gets under another clay colored level by the green lights, I keep on going on top when I glitch though. Then I try to walk the curve and I get stuck even worse in a corner. This isn’t working for me, I’ve spent 5,000+ bolts on ammo alone
Instead of constantly holding circle button, you can move away from the console far enough for the controller to disconnect. If you were holding circle button the game will still recognise as if the button is being pressed.
If you zoom in at a certain corner of the bolt creates, it will allow your bolts to go even faster rather than holding just the circle button. Hold L 1 and the circle button and find the right spot that shows the bolts are going even faster. Sorry if I can't explain it good, it's more easier if I can show it.
Basically, you can only do this trick once per game, because the boxes don't respond afterwards. All you can do is revert to a saved game where you didn't do it yet, or go into a new game and do it again.
Works awesome. For those of you who are having issues getting to the rightt spot inside the wall. push yourself diagonally with the first decoy like so that if the walls behind you were a right angle pplace the first decoy at 45 degrees (halfway between walls [simplified version]) and then place the second to the left. I have experimented and this works pretty often cause i was originally having these issues too. also flying to a different planet then coming back makes it work better..
I tried to return just today... The boxes that were used earlier were gone! :O To do it again you have to beat Drek, go through Challenge Mode until you get to Blackwater City (You'll have all of your weapons including the Decoy Glove)
Thanks! Like others have commented, I found it easier doing it one more corner in, by the doorframe. I've had it running for a few hours now. Less than two more and I should have my cumulative 1 million bolts.
For anyone wondering I believe I did the math right on how long this takes. Once you start collecting bolts, ignoring getting to the location & throwing mines, it takes about 1.7 minutes to get 1,000 bolts. I believe if you are doing this to get the RYNO which is 150,000 bolts that means it’ll take 4.25 hours holding down the button to get that many. I did this on my PS2, times may vary on PS3 HD collection.
If you're streaming it from PlayStation plus collection, you need to interact with the controller at least once every 10 minutes. More hands on approach but the money glitch still works
thank you for this! It took me about ten attempts to glitch through the wall correctly because I kept taking a wrong turn. I found the key was to jump to get onto the circular platform that takes you around and outside. As for holding down circle, I have placed a huge thick strip of sticky tack across it and pressed it down, and weighted that down with a pile of five £1 coins all stuck together with more sticky tack.
I've played this game multiple times I have the original PS2 version. After many tries this glitch worked. Set it up and went to bed. now sitting at 516.171 bolts .
The same happened to me, I didn't end up in the same area as he did when glitching through the wall. So what I did instead was to move to the corner closer to the door and tried the same approach there. Then it worked just fine :)
ALSO: When you do get out on the ledge outside the walls before you jump to the building i suggest throwing a decoy down so you can see where its safe to land (i kept going through the building, very annoying) then after this its simple. NOTE: you gain bolts faster the closer you stand under the platform. so stand directly under.
Just replay this for fun PS2 and I wanted to glitch bold again, not modding the save, completely forgot what wall to glitch. Checked your vid and it work! Thanks!
I managed to do it after deciding to forget about it last night, typical that I should manage it at midday and now I have no ps3 to play haha. Thank you for this guide it's brilliant and has saved me god knows how much grinding
True. But if one happens to get to that part while attempting to do this glitch and, subsequently thinks that going backwards is shorter than going all the way around the entire track to get to where the bolt farming takes place only to start the race, they might get a little peeved... like me, lol. Just sayin' it so folks don't do the same mistake, especially for some that may have spent a while just to get to that point with the wall glitching being so touchy.
There's a way to instantly get teleported to the track on foot, you have to use the boost with the Clank jetpack thing right at the girl that gets you in the race and change suit while you do it and you'll just get teleported there on foot, i don't remember if it's exactly like that because I did that when I was like 7 years old, but it's definitely way more simple than this
Not sure if anyone cares or not, but you get about 1000 bolts a minute in your first run. That's about 25 hours of letting you game sit to get 1.5mil bolts from 0. Give or take about an hour given that the boxes can give fewer or more bolts for each break.
Insomniac and Idol Minds weren't very smart with the bolts. Considering the RYNO costs 150k, (which if you're playing fairly, is playing the game over like 6 times -.-) and the bolt collector trophy is 1 mil, that's almost impossible to do in less than 10 fair runs. I honestly feel like they kinda slid that glitch in there but made it seem unplanned, because 150k is quite retarded.
It depends, if you've broken those before in a race there will be less boxes in the glitch so less bolts this gave me a really hard time getting to 1 million
Can confirm this method still works on the streaming PS+ Premium version. Just need to turn HDCP off on your PS5 so that when you turn off the TV it doesn't turn off the console as well. Update:holding down the circle button doesn't constitute distinguishable play time to the streaming service. So if you are on PS5 and using this then you'll have to baby sit it 🫤
I wanted to spread this around actually. This glitch works more then once. Before you get your panties in a twist, let me explain. When you stand in that one spot, those crates you destroy with the Taunter respawn instantly when their out of sight giving you a crap load of bolts. The only problem with the glitch is when you save and die, those crates disappear. I decided to check out a theory I had and see if the glitch worked the same way with the other crates around the track and found that it did work. All you have to do is make sure the crates are out of side and use the Taunter. I should warn you that you may not get as many bolts as you did last time due to less boxes then the first spot and know that saving and dying will result in those boxes disappearing as well but that shouldn't be much of a problem since their are so many other boxes on the maps. Have fun!
I just did it got the ryno. Thing that sucks is ps plus kicks you off regardless if you tape down the button or any of the buttons to Simulate activity it will kick you off the game after about an hour
A tip for anyone who reads this comment, if you use a PS4 controller and disconnect it while using the taunter, it'll still continue using it despite being disconnected
I've got an update for the streamed version for ps premium: the glitch still works but you cant go afk because the streaming service will kick you out after 10 minutes... you will need to reset your timer every 10 mintues
Failed first time for ps5 gone sleep mode Second time stream service gone off Then i found on google that it waits 10min only before turn off even if you push down 1 button
I got the decoy glove glitch through the wall on my second try, then I went the wrong way on the racetrack and got put on the hoverboard. Had to start over. Then it took me 20 minutes to get the glitch to work a second time!
If u dont want to hold the button, find a dead controller. Turn it on , hold button till it turns off and it will continue to work without u holding it

For anyone wondering it took me 23 hours of doing this glitch to get to 1M. So dont expect to get 1M fast. But its definitely faster than playing the gsme regularly

Still works on Vita March 2020. But not at easy as video shows. Probably tried to jump on the tree 50 times, but worked fine. If boxes are gone, take your ship to another planet and come back and the boxes respawned.

It's definetely worth buying! :) This glitch doesn't work for the first R&C, but there's another way to get into the race there. You simply activate the robot disguise when you enter, and then you're free ;). There's a video of it here on UA-cam!
This glitch works more than once.. I've completed the game once & stated a new campaign & I'm two trophies away from Plat. Just need to unlock the Golden weapons & collect 1 million bolts & I thought I would try the above glitch again to see if it works again & HAPPY DAYS....
Im doing this for 17 hours now. I have got 838000 bolts. Thank you very much for this glitch. Almost platinum :). Not a fast way to get bolts but its easy.
Also for anyone still trying this method! I got it to 33:08 seconds on my stopwatch to 1k!! I found that sometimes when you continue pressing the fire button for taunter, it increases the amount of bolts you collect! (Edited) standing close to the boxes probably made that difference apologies 😂
Dude I have the answer. The thing you want to get is a rubberstring and a screw. You attach the string around the controller so it can cover the O button. Then you place your screw with the pointy head up on the O button. The string will "push" the screw hard enough for the O button to be pressed. Have fun:D Thumbs up so people can see how.

The other games are fine because of the tournaments and races but it’s really hard in this game. Especially because 1 bolt = 1 bolt

It's the total bolts you've collected while playing the game. You don't have to carry that many at once, or, at least you didn't in A Crack in Time.
This glitch actually works on the Ps Vita version. I had it running for almost an hours because I needed the buy the RYNO

I did it (as february.10) a little bit ahead of this point, near the door (the balck part).

This glitch doesn't work for the first R&C, but there's another way to get into the race there. You simply activate the robot disguise when you enter, and then you're free ;). There's a video of it here on UA-cam!
This glitch works more than once.. I've completed the game once & stated a new campaign & I'm two trophies away from Plat. Just need to unlock the Golden weapons & collect 1 million bolts & I thought I would try the above glitch again to see if it works again & HAPPY DAYS....
I tried the holo guise thing for the ps vita, didn't work. This one did however, so thanks! :D
Holo-Guise is fixed on Vita and PS3.
If only I knew this as a kid, I could have gotten the RYNO so much sooner

Im doing this for 17 hours now. I have got 838000 bolts. Thank you very much for this glitch. Almost platinum :). Not a fast way to get bolts but its easy.
This never worked for me. I glitched into a different portion of the map, and then got stuck =/.

WTH!!! You can only do this glitch ONCE!! Once you have done the glitch, those boxes won't return

I did that glitch at 11 pm I remember and went to bed. I woke up at 6 30 am to go to work and had 1.5 million! 😊
Also for anyone still trying this method! I got it to 33:08 seconds on my stopwatch to 1k!! I found that sometimes when you continue pressing the fire button for taunter, it increases the amount of bolts you collect!
(Edited) standing close to the boxes probably made that difference apologies 😂
Just have the camera keep moving. It doesn't time you out of the game or put the ps5 in rest mode
cool this is an alternative to the old ''Use hologuise then enter a hoverboard race''. Sadly it only worked on the original US version.
Dude I have the answer. The thing you want to get is a rubberstring and a screw. You attach
the string around the controller so it can cover the O button. Then you place your screw with the pointy head up on the O button. The string will "push" the screw hard enough for the O button to be pressed. Have fun:D Thumbs up so people can see how.
its easier to use the hologuise gadget to enter the race, you can walk the track how ever you want

The easier way is to get the hologuise enter the race as the hologuise and do the same thing. simple.
