A group of teens steal necklace from an unmarked grave . Shortly after Johnny rises from the grave to seek and destroy whoever took the necklace.
This movie follows the character of Johnny as he searches for the necklace and kills anyone who gets in his way . The movie doesn’t not provide a soundtrack but only nature sounds .
The movie showcases great cinematography, great special Fx , and a simple story . What’s more impressive about this movie .. the marketing.
Why pay for trailers and posters when you can get people on social media to hype up the movie .
The movie was definitely overhyped but I can appreciate what they were going for . I do think the movie is 15-30 minutes too long and well maybe hitting a note or two wouldn’t be a bad idea every so often .
In a violent nature isn’t reinventing the wheel and the kills weren’t bad … but I question has anyone not seen any of the “Hatchet “ movies before this movie ?
I didn’t love it nor hate it . But probably won’t think about it ever again .

What creeped me out was the reality of horror. Let me explain. All you hear is the sounds of nature, then a scream of pure terror and then suddenly it's once again filled with only the sounds of nature, almost like it never happened.
I do think it was pretty effective . I do wish it was a one and done . But it made profit .
I have now seen this one 5 times and I absolutely love it. It shouldn't work as it's totally a movie filled with filler, but it absolutely worked for me. I 100% hope they don't make a sequel. This is a great once off.

Wayyyyyyy overhyped
Yeah it’s definitely one of the many that have been overhyped.
