I feel like UA-cam has become industrialized, in a way. Too much competition for attention leading to a shorter/faster style that doesn't take the time. So when you say "the old UA-cam" (which I don't think I've known, even though I'm barely older than you) I just imagine content made for its own sake at its own pace. Yeah, basically a brief intermission actually. x)
haha thank you! Yeah you totally nailed it, that competing for everyone's attention is definitely accurate. I also agree that content made for independent reasons has more personality and usually more value than content churned out to appeal to the widest audience.
