7 years later and still works like a charm!! Thank you so much this AWESOME info I was a bit confused reached out and got the info needed to get the programing done
If you use the Key Fob to arm is there any way to determine that you are actually alarmed? My wife thought she alarmed with the fob but she didn't hold the Alarm Away on a sufficient amount of time. The way I discovered the alarm hadn't been activated was by using Total Connect 2.0 on my smart phone. Is there an indicator light available to show if I'm alarmed?
+T Lippy You should be able to get arm/disarm alerts via TC2.0 which would verify that the fob arming/disarmings worked. If you aren't getting good service from your existing company, you should consider switching to one of our no-contract plans available online at www.alarmgrid.com/monitoring.
When I try to program a motion sensor, I push the tool button then put in the installer code to get to the program but when I push the program button nothing happen. The system program section doesn’t show up. Why that happen?
I have followed the directions exactly and it doesn’t work. I found a link on how to make it work. The 5834 needs to be paired with the L7000 panel. From your home screen, click security then more then tools then test then the go-no-go test button and then what you do is you press and hold the three buttons except the panic button at the same and you will hear a beep. Put in your code and you will be taken to home screen and you are good
Hi Sterling. When I press program, it doesn't take me to another page like yours does. It stays on the same page even after I click "program". Why would this be? Am I doing something wrong?
+Suzy Q That would mean that someone has locked you out of programming. This FAQ should help - www.alarmgrid.com/faq/how-do-i-get-back-into-programming-if-i-am-locked-out-on-my-l700
+Rafael Ceballo The L5200 is a control panel, wireless receiver, touchscreen keypad and siren, all in one unit. The WIFI, GSM cellular and Z-Wave modules are sold separately. We have kits online at www.alarmgrid.com/browse/wireless-security-systems
+Rafael Ceballo Yes, if the unit is destroyed, the siren would stop functioning. The system does support Advance Protection Logic (APL) though which makes sure an alarm still gets out to the central station even in the case where an intruder destroys the system during the entry delay period.
This is most likely the confirmation of arming option. By default, Keyfobs are set to give you a confirmation of arming when you arm via the button, so that if you're standing outside when you do it, you know the signal was received successfully by the panel. If you're using an all-in-one panel like a Lynx Touch or Lyric, this is enabled or disabled in the Programming > Sounder section of panel programming. If the panel is going into a full alarm, meaning you have to disarm in order to get it to stop sounding, then you may have programmed the button you're hitting as a panic alarm.
Hello, I purchased the 5834-4 key fob. I also have the L5200 panel. I followed your instructions. The fob will "auto program" the serial number so the alarm panel recognizes it. However, once the programming is complete, it will not function. Any ideas? Thanks.
K Howell Okay, so the fob is in High Security mode. You need to put the panel into Go/No Go Test Mode (Security > More > Tools > enter Installer Code > Test > Go/Go No Test) and, once in test mode, press and hold all buttons except for the panic button for 5 seconds (the panel should beep twice). At that point, you should be able to use the fob to disarm the system which will stop the Go/No Go Test mode and you'll have a working fob in High Security mode.
Sterling, I have followed your instructions to the Tee and it all works great until it's time to arm/disarm etc. Just blinks red. i have tried 3 fobs and i have also verified high security mode. help?
+Derrick Swaim Glad to hear it. If you know what you mis-programmed, let us know here so that perhaps you can be of help to the next guy that makes the same mistake.
+Sterling Donnelly Thanks. my fix came from your instructions on high security mode: "From the home screen, issue the following button presses: Security > More > Tools > Installer Code > Test > Go No Go Mode. This will place the system in Go No Go mode. There should be a yellow bar across the top of the screen that reads, "Go No Go Test - Home to Quit." Now, press and hold the A, B, and C keys (closed padlock, open padlock, and person inside the home) simultaneously until you hear the panel beep twice."
Or, if you do have it associated to a user and the light is lighting up red when you press and hold it, you may need to enable high security mode which this FAQ details - www.alarmgrid.com/faq/how-do-i-enable-high-security-mode-on-my-lynx-touch-for-my-honey
Hi Shlomo, if you have the current master code and you wish to change it, go to Security > More > Tools > Enter the existing Master Code, then go to Users > Master, press Clear, enter the new 4-digit code, then save and exit and test. If you enter your code at tools, and you don't see "Users" as an option, then the code you're entering is not the master code. Check out this video for a walk-through: ua-cam.com/video/t_RiWKI9ujA/v-deo.html
Yes, you can have up to 16 key fob buttons enrolled on the L5200. You would simply press Add New when in the Keys section of programming to add an additional fob. Make sure that each fob is assigned to a valid user code as well.
I'm not sure I understand the question. Are you wanting to know how to change the master code? If so, this video should help: ua-cam.com/video/t_RiWKI9ujA/v-deo.html

Does 24-Hour Audible also call the monitoring center, or does it only activate the panic alarm? Also, is there an option for an Arm Night Stay?
it will send a signal to the central station

K Howell Did you map the fob to a valid user?
Sterling Donnelly Yes. It was mapped to the Master User.
