Uma das primeiras coisas quando comecei a digitalizar e divulgar fotos antigas de Cruzília era saber qual foi o LP e de quem era o arranjo da Marcha Fúnebre, composta por Chopin, tocada em todos os avisos fúnebres pela Igreja Matriz, da qual foi retirada e trocada por outra versão em meados da década de 2000. Lembro que obtive uma cópia do LP pela paróquia, já convertida em CD, porém ninguém sabia a informação da versão tocada, pois foi-me dito que o LP havia se perdido e o que restou foi uma digitalização muito distorcida e muito amplificada. Quem ouvia pelo megafone da igreja talvez nunca conheceu a música por inteiro e a versão que obtive nos idos de 2009 em CD era abruptamente interrompida. Então nem eu sabia como ela terminava. Já havia perguntado a todos aqui do grupo se alguém saberia qual seria o LP, o autor do arranjo, e ninguém soube me dizer.
Curiosamente há 13 meses atrás, um usuário no youtube de codinome RQBtv conseguiu desvendar o autor e em qual LP se encontrava.
Perguntado sobre o método de busca que fez este amigo do UA-cam encontrar a versão, segue o comentário (em inglês):
"I pored over the results of searching for albums containing any version of “Marcha funebre” on Discogs from the 60s and 70s, which totaled in the hundreds. I was able to rule out any well-known conductors or orchestra given the very interesting nature in which this version was recorded, and for some reason when I saw the album cover something clicked inside my head and I thought “this has to be it”. There wasn’t a video linked to Discogs when I first found it so my hopes weren’t super high, but when I sourced a copy on UA-cam I literally shouted “YES!” lol. It’s really gratifying hearing it in such high quality, and the other tracks are also very well done renditions of other classical pieces too."
