You make some good points. The night troopers became zombies in this episode I believe, but didn't explain weird damaged red tape before? What was that for? The ruined Sabine, belittling her skills as a Mando. Having her hold her own without the force always made her cooler. Sadly Baylan didn't get enough screen time. The Ezra ending didn't make sense. (Is this too give him his own show? ) Ezra prediction: he will be in Mandalorian and become Grogu's teacher but unlike Luke, Ezra becomes a Mandalorian regular)
I have a feeling Lucasfilm was the reason for the pace. They only allowed so much story to be told. I also remember the pace of the first episode of Mandalorian Filoni made. It’s that gunslinger episode which had some great elements but still the weakest of the stories told. Man your video echoed everything I felt. It’s like the most I’ve ever agreed with all your videos. That’s an odd feeling. Hope you get to feeling better. Were the houses good this year? Anakin who seems to have taken his role as the balance will open their minds to the mysteries of the Force on this planet. I mean it is a fresh new mysterious world they can explore. Completely pointless show! All of the characters literally switched galaxies, Sabine is Luke skywalker, and thrawn is the worst decision maker in all of Star Wars. That’s the show. All of that could’ve been explained in a classic Star Wars scroll in the beginning of another underwhelming Star Wars movie.
I don't like Ahsoka being weak throughout the show. She was trained by Anakin and can fight Maul and Vader toe to toe. She should now be one of the deadliest fighter in the galaxy. But the show only have her above average and have troubles in most of her fight.
I enjoyed this series overall, but I felt there were a number of 'he swung he missed' moments. I thought the basic plot was great, interesting, filling gaps and expanding the live action franchise. And it looked great! The locations, costumes, vehicles. But some of the scenes and dialogue, I thought 'they should of gone through a more vigorous quality control'. Some great actors and actresses too, they gave it a bit of welly! I hope there is a second season, I really do. But it could do with being a bit tighter. Hope you feel better soon! 🙏

I honestly believe we got the worst lightsaber battles in all of Star Wars this episode. Completely slow and boring and predictable. Whatever happened to lightsaber fighting the way Obi wan and darth maul did?
8 Episodes of simple stories with no end or beginning for that matter. NOT peak TV. Not as terribly bad as Boba and Obi but not as good as Andor. The whole thing is SO linear and simple. Two main characters died and came back within seconds. There are no stakes. It's really Rebels live TV. It's a kids series that doesn't deliver only sets things up for what? Season 2 a movie? Why do I keep watching this average stuff? Average stuff like this shouldn't get this much attention...
I agree with your take, but I don't think Sabine should have been able to use the force like she did. Honestly the whole Sabine is force sensitive thing took time away that could have been spent developing Baylon and Shin more. Very disappointed that we only got a minute of Baylon. Also, I thought Shin was going to rejoin Thrawn, she said she wanted to leave Peridia in episode 6. But instead she joins the bandits? If Thrawn rejected her it should have been shown on screen. I really liked the show up until epi 7+8. The finale did not stick the landing, although it did set up an interesting situation on Peridia. If they recast Stevenson then I agree with people who are saying it should be Gerard Butler.

I watched your video after each episode. I think I’ve been commenting since episode 4 that the show was “good”. Well, they didn’t stick the landing. This was the first episode in a while that bored me. It felt like they used a bunch of cheap tricks to keep the Jedi in the fight. I never thought they risked being hurt or losing. There was zero risk. Most of all, I’m disappointed that Darth Stevenson’s story ended the way it did. Zero resolution. Very disappointed. And the internet loves it. All sorts of 100% ratings. It’s like the sequels all over again. Feel better.
This is just Filoni jiggling keys for SW content absorbers. Anybody with any thought process, any concept of continuity will dismiss this show as m'eh or bad. Too bad its not 20 years ago and we can wave proof by the $1.99 sticker and bin at walmart for the Ahsoka DVD.

Ever notice how Ahsoka's ship has the inside features of a tardis? The Lady Elsbeth character (like every other character that fights Ahsoka and Sabine) looked like she was holding back. The lightsabers acting like extendable batons makes no sense. The stormtroopers rezzing would have looked cool, if they were cut up (like a lightsaber would do). Sabine suddenly having force powers made no sense. Meh, this show had too many flaws, for me. I posted a three minute cut, with all of the plot-relevant parts. Did you ever see George Lucas' "Clone Wars?" I heard that one was done quite well. It looked like it was done in a "Samurai Jack"-style animation. I did not like "The Last of Us;" but Pedro Pascal can definitely act.
Yeah, the zombie fight would’ve been better with more limbs and heads flying. I’m a big Doctor Who fan, I’m gonna have to go back and check that out. I did watch the clone wars and I really liked it. I'm ready to cancel my Disney plus subscription, but don't worry I will stay with you because you haven't let us down, unlike Disney. Good call on the whole Pedro situation I would've done the same. By the way did you hear about Feloni's wife and how he hired her to write some of the story line in Rebels and now in Ahsoka. I feel disappointed by the finale. Rushed, too easy, tensionless, plotholes etc...Didn't like the fights & the action maybe except for some of the Ahsoka vs Lady M duel. It's weird as I liked all the series except for the last 2 eps. Also my fav MANDO were directed by Rick Famuyiwa who also did the Ahsoka finale. Here I'm not impressed by his input. Actually that's my least favourite ep of the season. I don't think the guy at 0:23 is Pedro Pascal. Sorry.

As far as the Director of the episode, you’re right, I usually love his episodes. This was not his usual work. The last two episodes really didn’t bring the season home for me either.

Too bad they were a bit wasted in this series. The finale sounds awful. If Dave Filoni really studied under Lucas then I don't think he paid any attention. I don't know why he keeps getting a pass from fans.
