13:09 - Thank you Battlefront for giving me hours of fun playing the STAR WARS battles of the past few years on a grand scale. ~Goodbye old friend, may the force be with you
Gordy Haab did a hell of a job with the music. Sounds superb, the new themes sound exactly like john williams. Had no idea that the composer wasn't him until months after 2015 released
God, it’s only been a few years but I miss this game so much! Battlefront II imo is much better these days after all the updates but this game has such a charm to it I’ll cherish forever.
Just played this game on ps5 full lobby and it was glorious. Just change your location to US East under EA account. Played around 10 matches and got bunch of XP!!
This is already nostalgic. There is just something about DICE's first Battlefront, that Battlefront 2 lacked. I can not pinpoint it exactly. I played way more hours of Battlefront 2, but Battlefront 2015 is my favorite Star Wars game (yes, including all single player titles). The amount of love, that went into this game can just be felt and the feeling that this game provided just made me totally forget, that it was only focused on the Original Trilogy. The map design is just miles ahead of Battlefront 2's. The approach taken to the maps with photogrammetry was a genius move, no doubt. Battlefront 2's maps are obviously designed for Galactic Assault, because the path, that the narrative gameplay in GA takes is still obvious in the expanded versions of those maps in (Capital) Supremacy. Battlefront 2015 has the most immersive multiplayer maps, I know (together with Battlefield 1, that took the exact same approach to map design) Visually, the game (Battlefront 2015) remains one of the most beautiful games and it still holds up today. The texture resolution was indeed higher than in Battlefront 2 and the first game's sound design is just god tier work by DICE. Battlefront 2's audio is not mixed as good. It sounds a lot more flat and nowhere near as immersive. Battlefront 2 has all eras, which is great (I love the prequels and the Clone Wars is my favorite part of Star Wars), but they clearly went for quantity over quality. I know they had to and I don't mean that in an offensive way, but this "feeling" of Battlefront 2015, the immersion is something, that I never felt in Battlefront 2.
The Imperial theme at 3:00 is brilliant. It channels everything great about Williams' Imperial music yet employs its own melody. Seriously, that theme does not get enough attention.
People criticized it tirelessly because of how much they enjoyed the original battlefronts. But looking back on it, EA did a great job with this game. I truly enjoyed it
My first FPS and my first PC game where my first game dates from 6 years ago, already ... My last date was 4-3 years ago ... It is the game that I adored the most and which gave me a real passion for the star wars universe. I am extremely nolstagic about it. I'm in the process of reinstalling it, hope there are still people on it and on Bespin, Death Star and Scarif =)
