wonderful...we'd sautee the chicken first, then add the salt and any spice, and then add the gourd, just like you did with the pork liver. we would normally not put so much water because the gourd will shed water and the broth would be tastier...blessings

Here in phil🇵🇭 we used to call it upo but different shape😊 we also use it in nilagang baboy if we dont have cabbage,, nilagang baboy is a dish with soup (broth) my all time favorite specially when its rainy day😋
