Very beautiful culvert. I thought about all the hard work and man hours that it took to build it, including the stone cutters and masons. The cost to duplicate it now would be astronomical. So in the current time , we just simply admire such workmanship, and be grateful to still be able to observe it. Thank you.
Another great vid. Thank you for sharing. I noticed the cool reflection off the wall even before you mentioned it and hoped you would show more of it. Glad you did. Maybe you could use great effects like that on an outro... let it play for 20-30 seconds to sum up the days adventure. Just an idea. Yes, Cabelas is a dangerous place :) :)
And then the giant "DUCK" jumps out of the water! QUACK QUACK! Cliff, you need an RC boat to explore flooded places like that. Very interesting history. It would be nice to see the rest of the unfinished railroad. Thanks for sharing, nice exploration.
I'm making an assumption here, but I assume the culvert was wholly for the creek to pass under the railroad. It looks as if there should have been much more dirt over the culvert (especially apparent at each end with the stone arch completely exposed). Where did all this fill go? Probably to build the damn that created the lake in the 1960's.
great walk thru thanks! next time your going out check you weather app on your phone..wind speed and the feels like temperature help me a lot on what to wear.
I am sure he usually looks at weather updates before doing a video. He know doubt did the same here, but figured he would chance it. I do the same thing at times. It happens.
The research you did on that tunnel was interesting. I wonder how long it took to build it. With my luck I would have tripped and fallen in there but perhaps you could see the bottom through the water. Great tour. Thanks
Neat little adventure for a Saturday afternoon. Did you check on Google Maps / Earth and see if there is any thing there that shows the railroad remains?
You can see the route of the Right-of-way going north from there and curving west towards Port Clinton. To the south...good luck. 150 years of progress, erosion, and plant growth make this one of the most difficult rail lines to locate and follow
Hi Cliff, I wonder if that little room with the old bedframe in could have been a single man's idea of a bunker back in WW2 ???. The tunnel was beautifully made, what was that banging sound at the other end ???. Thank you for showing us a cool piece of PA history. x
All the time and work it took to build that. There must be a dump near there where the trash from the guys that built this is buried it has to be there somewhere?
When the wind gets to blowing it can turn a cool day into pure misery if you're not prepared with gloves, a hat, and a scarf. I try to always take those with me when I think there might be any possibility for heavy wind on a cool day.
hi cliff Great video in ireland cars go under modern trains on top allentown billy Joel n his sons also steel mills n maybe n deerhunter film Brian Ireland
Now that you know where the concrete hide out is, you are good to go if the SHTF. It would be easy to heat and safe from bad weather. Get that bug out bag ready, LOL.
That was totally gorgeous. I love anything train that tunnel was fabulous that stonework is just beautiful. Thank you so much for taking me along
Cool tunnel. Love the rock walls.
The sunlight on the tunnel and water is just awesome. Only wish I could feel it!!!

Awesome stonework. I can't imagine the labor that went into this. Thank you for the explore.
Very cool video. Nice reflection effect.
Very photogenic, thx. 4 sharing
Cool walkthrough. Loved the light reflection effect.
I go to Pennsylvania every summer and love to explore different areas.
It's sad that people worked hard on that tunnel and then it wasn't used. At least it is there now to look at and it's pretty.

Very video and location. I like the rippling water reflection on the wall as well. My suggestion: hip waders. Even less likely to get wet
I have a some waders.....wasn't expecting the water to be too deep.
The tunnel is pretty cool! Liked the water ripples on the wall! Love the sound of the water at the other end of the tunnel! 👍
👍Thanks Mr. K. Amazing the craftmanship back in 1800 hundreds.
Really enjoyed and loved your video! Absolutely beautiful!
Great stone work, makes you wondered about the men that built this. Truly enjoyed.
What a nice tunnel cliff. Was thinking if you had some stained glass for that sun to shine threw onto the wall. That would be really beautiful.
Nice piece of history, thanks for sharing.

I don't remember the banging noise, but this park is near a larger town so I'd assume the banging may have come from there.
The small room is an old icehouse.

It's possible, I plan to back someday and walk along the stream a bit.

Wasn't too far from the Jeep, so didn't worry about it too much. But I should have had warmer stuff along.
