Yeh not a fiddle, a fiddle is more of alike a violin. Ostians called it "fandir",I personally surprised that this instrument is still around. I mean I never see it as accommodating instrument during professional art concerts, at least here on you tube videos. I just giving them praise, that in nowadays they are devoted to the progressive peaceful coexistence with all neighbors.

thank you for your interest. ossetians have nothing to do with mongolians. no mongolian looking, no mongolian culture. also, ossetians don't have horse meat eater/horse milk drinker neighbors. there is only kalmuk people as mongoloid on the north, but they are little far from ossetians. they have no relations.

@chutxaro dance is generally the common in whole ossetia. moreover, digors have one different dance as i know. but i couldn't see it on youtube.
