    Self made corn meal
Home made cheese. Every housewife knows how to make it. And Alexander the Great will have zero chances to make a huge impression on his father if this little boys were around.(just saying)
What a healthy way to live a life , ha?
Love it ,love it ,love it.
That video was made in my days. What's now?

At some point Sirdon and Soslan ( other narts personage) became an enemies. They had no mercy to each others any more. Their brutality had no meager any more. One day Sirdon found his all family cooked up in a big jar. he picked his sons arm that was popping from the jar. He connected the ligaments from humerus to the wrist and made his dirge over his family.
Sad story,as many others from an antic world. but nowadays Ostians are the most kind peaceful people. They learn their lesson.

Sometimes I hear that Osetians-Alans are mongoloids. I just want to say that Osetians don't drink horse milk nor eat a horse meat as Mongols do.
But confusion is understandable because the neighboring nationalities do so.
Also the instrument the old man is playing is far relative of Greeg harp. A legend is telling that personage of the Narts tales Sirdon was first who made it .

hmmm... Kabardays and Balkars eat horse meat... i don't know, it can be; but i never heard that. i will check it out. :)
there is another knowledge: sytho-sarmatians were sacrificing horses in aristocratic funerals. ossetians were continuing to that tradition till early 20th century; in someway: by cutting an ear of horse, and spilling its blood to the grave. interesting huh? :)

and the instrument, which was founded by Syrdon... is a type of harp with 12 strings. not a "fiddle".
"They learn their lesson.?" :) for ossetians, this is the unique result of that saga.

Yeh not a fiddle, a fiddle is more of alike a violin.
Ostians called it "fandir",I personally surprised that this instrument is still around. I mean I never see it as accommodating instrument during professional art concerts, at least here on you tube videos.
By "lesson" I mean that some nations in antic time were brutal,Alans were not an exception. I just giving them praise, that in nowadays they are devoted to the progressive peaceful coexistence with all neighbors.

    i mean Kalmyk people...
confusion maybe coming from this information: scythians-sarmatians were horse-breeders; and they were eating horse meat. and ossetians are the descendents of sarmatians...
but today, ossetians have almost nothing about nomadic culture.

@chutxaro dance is generally the common in whole ossetia. moreover, digors have one different dance as i know. but i couldn't see it on youtube.

Probably your corrections are correct. But I herd that Kabarday - Balkars do eat horse meat. I'm not a big export so I can't testify that of coarse. Maybe that is not true too.

    thank you for your interest.
ossetians have nothing to do with mongolians. no mongolian looking, no mongolian culture. also, ossetians don't have horse meat eater/horse milk drinker neighbors. there is only kalmuk people as mongoloid on the north, but they are little far from ossetians. they have no relations.
