- My renovations are finally complete at our new house! Turned my entire basement into a antique bottle collection display!
This is mainly a Northern Ontario bottle collection from Sudbury Ontario! 95% of the bottle or relics shown in this collection video have been hand dug by me or Jay!
We have loads of sodas, milks, meds you name it! Set up on custom shelving with lit LED lighting! Very proud of my handy work and quite excited to share it with everyone!

Lol thanks 😄😄 Its actually from when I was a kid! Got it for Christmas when i was 10 or 12. Ive had it ever since! Thought id make the bottom shelf part of my childhood toys!

Adam, WOW...just WOW! I was impressed with everything in this video, from the design and color choices of your basement, the color changing rope lights, to putting the darker amber ones in the window and the grouping of your slightly damaged and bottles still containing liquid. You and Jesse put a lot of thought and hard work into displaying your bottles and other hobbies/collectibles and making it look classy and homy and not just a dude with a bunch of bottles. 😉 I feel like we got to learn more about you from seeing your trains and video games, photography and license plates and I can picture you sitting at your desk editing videos. Every detail is just beautiful, you two have made a lovely home. 💜💙
(I do have to admit that seeing your cat and thinking about all the weight on those shelves gives ME anxiety, but obviously you know what you're doing. 😊)
No just a dude with a bunch of bottles, lol!! I love it 😄😄 Thank you very much!! Me and jesse picked out all the colours together, green, blue, brown and grey were all our accent wall colours with a light white with grey undertones for the regular walls! We definitely love our choices!
I put a bunch of my childhood toys and games on my one shelf, mostly legs and only N64 games 😄. The trains were also from when i was a kid! Kept everything in great condition when i was younger 😄
I have my LED lights set to a chill orange tone and have them on when ever im on my computer. Such a relaxed atmosphere. As for the cats, we have 2! Moe and steve lol 😄 moe was in the video and Steve is his brother, hes black and white 😄 They are very good when it comes to not being interested in the bottles or breaking them lol!
I claimed the basment and jesse claimed the upstairs lol! I do all the renovations she wants upstairs 😄 there's bottles up there but not to the extent of the basment lol!!

Nice! That is a pretty extensive collection. Beautifully displayed. You picked up a few Crown sealers from me, a year or so ago in EL.

Looks amazing an so well setup an shelf layout is great im going to steal some ideas lol. Dude I love the Zelda poster and I spied a very early copy in the box dude ???? whoa man I'm jealous. I've played every game an have most early consoles but im geeked on the newer Zelda game an a new one coming out in May. Thanks for sharing you've done a top shelf job lol.

Thanks!! 😄😄 The purple insulator has a few dings to it but dug it outa a 20s house dump! As for the upstairs, my wife decorates the upstairs ( i do what she wants for renivations lol) and I have the basment!
There are a few bottles upstairs but nothing like my collection rooms lol!

So many thoughts here. Setup time, dusting time and more. Did you take extra insurance out for your collection?
Lol, so for the renovations took about 4-5 months working on everything. Dusting wise, i went with rough cut wood. It doesnt show dust at all. Had the sane style if wood at my parents place, was up for 5+ years showing no dust. If u use smooth surfaces it show dust instantly lol!
Amd insurance i have non no. As this entire collection is basically dug and i have no money actually put into it. Not saying it wouldn't suck to loose. Would be losing memories not money.

I can't believe how many people I see on Facebook and UA-cam that have cats and bottle collections I Heard that they do not mix luckily for me I'm a dog person So I won't ever have to find out for myself

It's impossible with exposed bottles for me . Darn felines are very curious an rub on everything lol.

There is putties such as earth quake putty that can be affixed to the bottoms of objects to keep them from tumbling over
Lol 🤣 i got 2 cats actually. They dont jump on any shelves and havent even come close to any bottles lol. They are super chill cats, they have there own cat trees and loads of toys to keep busy. 😄

I've been wondering for awhile now Jay...how is your 'purple mountaintop' lately? Do you have to package them all up before winter and bring them out again in spring, or do you take the risk of the freeze breaking them? I'm going to have to go back and find that video, when you laid them all out, I was hoping we would get updates periodically. Also, are you still in an apartment with all those bottles, or have you moved into a larger house to make room for all of them?
