My candy corn spirea isn’t leafing as much but it is in its 2nd year . Should I trim it to encourage more growth for next year or leave it one more year ?
Thank you Heidi - I will watch ALL the pruning videos that you post! I have a Temple of Bloom in a quart-sized pot. How big does it need to get before I plant it in the ground? I’m in zone 8 eastern NC. I have potted it up to a gallon pot.
Heidi, Thanks for your info on trimming shrubs. Have a nice evening!
You are so welcome!

Curious about this as well :)
I would encourage a light trim. But I also want to double check that it is in a full sun location.
QUESTION - Can I trim PW "At last rose" now? It has overgrown its space. Thanks!

My pugsters are huge and the base is so woody....8A and will cut down low in late winter early spring.
Yes that works.
Hi Heidi, how would you trim a young rose of Sharon tree?
If you could send me a picture I could give you the best advice. Without seeing it you could give it a light trim if you feel it needs it.
I had read Pugster series didn’t need to be pruned at all?? Mine is 2 yrs old and is nice and full, finally.
They don't need to be trimmed but you can if you want to keep the size refined or trim off the spent blooms
Thank you for this very helpful video! Question - is fall the best season to prune our Heptacodium? Ours (purchased from GC) is about two years old.
Winter is the nest time or early spring. I trim mine when i have time which was now in the Fall.
I would love to have a Temple of Bloom shrub tree. I can’t seem to find it in the Cincinnati area. Do you sell them and ship?
We do sell Temple of Bloom. You would need to train it into a tree. We do not sell them that way.
