MetaAmp - Generate summary for different taxonomic levels using excel

This quick tutorial by Manuel Kleiner describes how one can generate summary tables for different taxonomic levels in Excel using the OTU data table output from MetaAmp (ebg.ucalgary.ca.... The starting table lists a set of OTUs, counts and relative abundances for these OTUs in different samples and a taxonomic classification of the OTUs in form of a taxonomy string. After doing the steps in the tutorial you will end up with a table that lists the summmed counts or relative abundances for taxonomic groups on different levels e.g. phylum level.
