    I had to laugh when I read 'Switch your Leslie with your foot.'
    I had thoughts of some angry organist kicking their Leslie for some reason.😅
    What a really interesting and informative video.
    I know that some clones have an expression pedal with a Leslie foot switch available as an optional extra but I had no idea that this setup could be retrofitted to a vintage Hammond.
    Hopefully the person requesting this will find that it answers their needs and that it works really well for them.
    I think part of the magic of the Leslie is that half moon switch accessed by a speedy and well oiled left hand.
    It looks cool if your watching and feels cool if you're playing but that's just my opinion and I'm certain it's not everyone's so it's wonderful that this option exists. 👍

      Many thanks for your comment! The foot switch can be very practical and allow your hands to stay focused on creating music. We agree, it is an excellent option and some Hammonds actually came from the factory with this feature built in.

    ...as a multi keyboard player...I need three hands available all the time...right foot on volume pedal..left foot on on off switch...we... Jimmy McGriff... groove Holmes.. Charlie Earl and... and other organ player..tried to figure out a way to turn on the Leslie without talking your hands off the keys... remember... they played left foot bass!

      It's always a challenge finding a way to get the most out of any organ setup!

    Very cool! I built a footswitch that plugs into the extra 6 pin connector on my two-speed 45, but I like this solution better...especially with an A-100 where the there's no convenient location when the pedals are attached.

      Thanks for your comment and for watching our video. This video was made for a client who purchased a beautiful A-105 from us and it was shipped to his home in Norway. Sometimes when we sell an instrument, we need to follow up with detailed information for a buyer to make his own modifications or repairs even years after the purchase. Being able to make these videos for this purpose is very helpful for our business and customers. We thank the good people at UA-cam who are doing a great job!

      The organ for which this switch was designed will soon be in the home of the buyer in Norway. We will not have the ability to show the finished result of this specific instrument but will likely be adding more of these custom made switches to other instruments in the future.

    Out of curiosity, what Leslie is the loudest?

    • @KeyboardExchange
      @KeyboardExchange  22 дні тому +2

      Some solid state Leslie models are louder than the 122 and 147 models that we prefer. Volume and power are one thing and tone quality is another subject and variable. Many prefer the tone of a tube power amp which has limits to the power it can produce so some use more than one Leslie or mike one Leslie. The 122 and 147 use the same tubes and audio power is 40 watts RMS which is still enough to hurt your ears in a small room. Contact us to let us know how you want to use a Leslie and we can provide more specific details. www.keyboardexchange.com

      The 925 with its 140W solid state amp is probably the loudest model, but as the folks at KEI suggest, the tube-driven models are the ones to get!
