Really want to like this ESR charger, but the light keeps flashing on and off overnight. The issue is when the phone hits its charge limit, it stops charging and the button that turns off the Cryoboost resets (makes sense), except then the phone’s charge level drops and it starts charging again, but the Cryoboost is active so the light turns on. Very annoying in a darkened room overnight. I've read others have opened it up and put tape over the ring of LEDs. It also doesn’t conform to the USB-C standard as you must use the provided cable. Standard USB-C cables don’t work because they didn’t implement USB-C properly - just the connector (it will work if you use a USB-A to USB-C cable)
I don’t mind slow charge speeds. My main concern is heat generation. I’ve tried one of the $50 no name stands and it heats up the phone and especially the AirPods quite a lot. Do the stands covered in this video heat up the devices while charging?
What are your thoughts on the ESR “Standard” stand? I got that one during the recent Prime Day for $56. It’s not “Made For MagSafe,” but the price was right for me, and I like the smaller footprint.
Hi! The only real difference will be faster watch charge and wireless charge speed. If you need to fast charger all the time or this was for the office, it makes more sense than if you use it only at night.
@@TheFrenchGlowGotcha! I’m just using it as a nighttime charger by my bed, so sounds like the cheaper one is perfect for me! I’ve never been too concerned with fast charging, so that’s fine!
Thanks for explaining why the magsafe certified is so much more expensive than regular stands!
I wondered this too, thanks

Is the fan on the ESR better for the battery life over time?

@@TheFrenchGlow does an Apple Watch Ultra also tilt a lot on the ESR Made for magsafe 3 in 1 charger?
Do either of these support the new series 9 watch?
Hi! Yes both do as they are magsafe certified.
Is the fan on the ESR loud? That’s my 1 concern.
Trying to find out as well.
Esr can pull out phone one hand like belkin ?
works great for the phone and watch....not for the airpods though...
Just wanted to save you guys by saying even if some don’t have the license they are still on the same level. I’ve tested it,
Chaotic..
Thanks for the video but the popping in your voice over is bothersome.
